That is correct, however, it seems nearly identical looking to me. I can't tell them apart at all. They seem to be the same thing as a 987.2 vs 987.1razr390 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2018 7:26 pmnot current body,max225 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2018 7:12 pm https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/cto/d/ ... 78359.html

Did it only ever come with a hybrid drivetrain?Detroit wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2018 6:11 pmHonestly, the 200H was a great driving car. What do you think of it? How similar to a does it feel? Is it basically a with a (somewhat) superior interior?

The interior is not superior at all, but it's fine. It feels like a heavier, automatic (but short geared) with a more sporty engine. Dat DOHC Northstar doesn't feel like it came out of a truk like Ellis does. It sounds better too.

The main annoying thing about it (similar to the Skystice) is that the top takes up most of the trunk space if you put it down, so you essentially must choose between having a trunk and having a convertible. I don't think my dad has ever put the top down besides showing me how it worked when he bought it. It's otherwise always up. Dat coupe lyfe.wap wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2018 10:12 pmtroyguitar wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2018 10:04 pm The interior is not superior at all, but it's fine. They do look cool and if it weren't for the slushbox they'd be fun cars. The Northstar is great in it.
You're welcome.

So they didn't come with a hard top option then? I always liked the Northstar. why some here shit on it.
They're always hard top 'verts I think. Also on the deets, but the Northstar is allegedly very unreliable. Also most of the Northstar cars were FWD V8s which is kind of .wap wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2018 10:48 pmSo they didn't come with a hard top option then? Ah, right. It's a hard top vert.
Interesting. So Sr's car seems to be an exception. Reliable and RWD.

Northstar had Subaru-esque head gasket issues, but is otherwise a good engine. Makes decent power and feels/sounds nice and sporty in the top end like a proper DOHC design, does not rumble and shake the whole fucking car at stop lights as if a plug wire is loose 1960s style, 4/7 engine overall.

The reason the XLR was a failure was that it was ridiculously expensive new. Like $80k for the base model in 2004, when a Z06 was $50k. The "V" version was over $100k.

Coincidentally enough, I am currently reading my July, 2003 Road & Track and there is a road test of the then-new XLR. It based for $75,435, so yea.troyguitar wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2018 11:04 pm The reason the XLR was a failure was that it was ridiculously expensive new. 1/4 mile in 14s at 1.2.6 mph
Top speed 155 (limited)
.88g skidpad
235/50 R-18 tars
It had the upcoming C6 suspension.
