maybe the toyo open cuntry?
I've run Open Country's on the Tahoe since I got it, now on second set. First set lasted 40K miles, aggressive look but very quiet on the highway. Can't say whether it's got off road chops because I use my truck like a lifted minivan.
good first hand review. thanks!
cant be much better/worse/capable then the stock bfg k02
yeah, ive seen them in person. they are nearly identical
I remember cross shopping them for the bigger blacker dodge. I went with Nitto because they were cheaper at the time. Wore evenly, good traction, and relatively quiet. I ran m+s rated Cooper tires in the winter and they were stupid loud and had issues with uneven wear and cupping.

my ultimate problem is the current stock AT tires are in great shape and I'd literally be lighting money on fire. The suckers have another 20k miles on them easy. Only have 20k on them as of now.

Buying new too or looking to put the 33's on stockers?

THATS THE DILEMMA.
$1850 shipped with new tars and ramz from tirerack. I'd then have 3 sets of wheels and tars for the
OR $1100 for tires only. plus $220 for mount balance on the free 17" stockers. So ~1350 all in to use the other wheels I got.
When I went and did legit jeep stuff. They are the basic 5 spoke but in gunmetal from a freedom edition. I put some stock bfg ko2s (used) from my dads/sisters jeep cause he went to overside 305/70r17 mall spec tires. They performed well off road.

That's a 5/7 combo imo.

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.

so you vote just run oversized tars and call it a day? I already have the air tank and recalibration programer from chalupabatman.

Depends what you're trying to accomplish. I'd go the route personally, because it sounds pretty legit despite being

basically $500 more gets me the new wheels.
Im just unsure if I even want to spend the stupid money at all, since I have perfectly good tires on it now. And free stocker mudz if I venture off road.

I like the look of the stock wheel options better than anything aftermarket, personally. I'd only go aftermarket if I needed to push backspacing to fit wider tires. Which is for what you do.

good point. yeah. Id still need a 2-3" lift to fit them well.

This is how I feel on my JKU too. The stock size BFGs do well enough and I would only really go beyond those if I was lifting and it looked funny with these tires... The wheels are fine IMO and most of the ones everyone seems to be putting on remind me of the cheap wheels sold at America's Tire or Big-O/etc.... ones that will bend if you even think about hopping a curb, even with the big tires.

Even azns! My Azn didn’t like it too much because “I don’t know how I’m going to get into it”
Do you date girls with the processing power of a duck?

DFD. The forum where everybody makes the same choices and then tells anybody trying to join the club that they are the stupidest motherfucker to ever walk the earth.

Figuring out how to get them up to NJ might be a task, but if you want to sell let me know.
