Don't remember if I mentioned this last week.. Sister was due to have her baby this Thursday I think. Mom wasn't sure if she'd be physically able to travel after starting treatment today, so she flew out last Thursday night just to spend some time with my sister and her two kids. Baby wound up coming almost a week early Saturday morning. Pretty cool that my mom got to be there for it.
I'd been doing pretty good with everything, then my sister made a long post about the weekend and my mom on facebook and I just lost it this morning. Been a rough day. Not looking forward to my cancer screening this afternoon.

Service and parts are getting pay cuts, I can only imagine a new pay plan is next, under the guise of being constructed and planned "in our best interest."

I'm not sure. They aren't naming her after Oakley, they just like the name. But I agree that it does seem a little odd. Cool name though, and not common, so I think they just like it for that.

I would name her maybe Kylie or something like that. Oakley seems kind of Tom-boyish (no offense to your sister that has that name already

they are finally catching on to this one dude who comes in at like 930, says he has a bunch of work to do and is swamped, and then doesn't do any work when they tell him to do some small assignments. project manager just came up to me and gave me stuff, and is telling my boss he handed me some extra stuff to do in the morning since the other guy isn't reliable.
every time he is sick, he's been sick on a monday before some important meetings. every time. and when he's out, it means not only am I early shift (like today, when doing support desk), but i am also late shift, since someone needs to be here.

It's a gut punch to apparently. Trying to give the EPA the middle finger by relieving our ethanol blending obligation. We'll see what happens.
All I know is it means in a year, when we have new owners and a dodgy balance sheet, they'll bring in consultants to downsize us. Seen it happen twice, so pretty sure that's what will end up happening.
