I would recommend on warmer seasons doe. It was cold and windy, 40 F but winds made it feel like its 28 F or something. I went by train, had to make stop at Salisbury, where they have a special double decker bus that tours you to stonehedge, it was quite a drive. But views on the way there is pretty much how the country side of England was shown on Top Gear. I would go there by car doe if I were to do it again.

Also on another note, lot of old people came/come there for a peaceful protest so they can have a free admission solely for elders and retiree’s. One of the ladies came to the bus and said “they get bored and then leave” :lolol:

The cab driver who took us from the train station back to the hotel looks almost like James May, I kid you not!

Updated more pictures on the 3rd post on my laptop, I just got a flickr account. I have more to post, but I got tired of copy and pasting off bbcode sharing. Enjoy!

Little overdue pics since January, but not anymore

Miami, FL - January 2018
Little Havana (have been there multiple times previously, i may provide more pics from the past visits)

Not exactly in Little Havana but close
Image

The Gates Hotel south beach
- looks nice, great design decor, kinda pricy for what it is, but shitty customer service, by that I mean they are happy to help, but unreliable to deal with. Would 0/7 stay again.

Obligatory panoramic view

Wynwood, first time ever been to this area since I’ve seen friends taken pics there, so I jumped on the bandwagon. It was dope

Mt. Snow, Dover, Vermont (the whole roadtrip) - February 2018

My friend and I somehow pulled a last minute plunge to spend the night in NYC where we hit Diamonds Club  (look it up) then Vermont, Skied all day, and headed straight back home, passing by Albany, end up coming at 1 AM. That’s where I decided to appreciate my GTI a lot more, it’s an excellent roadtrip car and a comfortable car to sleep in (all hotels were booked, and 10 more people in their mercedes wagons slept too), I didn’t felt any fatigue.

Image

Somewhere east side of Manhattan going into Connecticut
Image
Image
Image
Image

Then that subaru parked next to me at that bar
Image

Theres this local bar called Snowbarn. Had concert hall (local band was playing), their pizzas are called pies, we shared one 18 inch “pizza” and we couldn’t even finish it, along both of us having 3-4 beers, stayed there till the concert ended at 2 AM, slept at the resort parking lot along with bunch of other long island waxer residents lol

The next morning

After skiing (no pics up in the mountains cause I kept my phone in locker)

Close to Albany, NY (we stopped by Bennington, VT, [no pics unfortunately] for Subway and it’s a pretty nice town so look it up if curious)

Miami, FL (again) - March 2018
- I went there with my co-worker for Event Planning for this Turkish phone network company by Turkcell. Me being a :scoorage: I rented a Yaris (never again) for a day to drive to Miami, spend the night in SC due to me having a brilliant idea to start my roadtrip at beginning of rush hour at i95 (thank god for EZ pass). I stayed there at Intercontinental on Bayside for couple of nights as my group was also staying there as well. Then my boss had points for W hotels, which is enough to attain a room at W South Beach Miami for couple of nights. :waxer: Not much touristy pics I took this time as I went there for work, never really left south beach.

Image
Image

More inner parts of bayside that isn’t glamarous, but found interesting artwork (duh), theres even a smoke shop that sells an ak47 hooka
Image
Image

After intercontinental accommodation, i spend way too much time at boardwalk and the pool like a regular tourist derp. I was too busy talking to this girl at the pool, which turned out she was 10 years older than me, but unfortunately she was departing that night so no :jalapenis:
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image

Then the day of my departure, I procasinated on leaving early, so we end up spending a night in Jacksonville, but we came at 8ish, and by that time there was not much to do, we just ate out and thats it
Image

Orlando, FL - June 2018
- I went there again for event planning for an organization get together dinner at a hotel in Orlando. I was incharge with the sign in and organizing the guest list along with co-worker that I went with Miami. It was an organization from countries coming from Turkey, Israel, Spain and Portugal.

:truk: stop in NC, 5/7 would stop by again.
Image

Image
Image

Brussels, Belgium - July 2018
- Visited there as an overnight layover on the way to Turkey, flight arrival was 7 AM. So I ceased the opportunity to experience Brussels with a quick train ride to the city center. The airport where ISIS attacked has metal detectors (just like in most airports in Turkey, except you get randomly selected), police are armed and ready with kevlar

I find this mercedes ad funny that it takes off like a plane

Thats my update. Will update more about Turkey, until then I’ll just snap to the group and those who follow me on ig can see my stories. Did I mention, it took me an hour to post this on my phone

:fuckyeah:

5/7 pics, dude.

And I've been trying to respond to your last snap but Snapfap has been crashing lately. Neat looking island, doe.
Coincidentally, yesterday my wife found a TV series, not sure what channel, called Islands Without Cars and she DVR'd the episode about Hydra. I'll keep an eye out if they do an episode on your Turkish island and let you know.

You told me about yesterday about hydra on snap lol. I believe Anthony bourdain made an episode of one of the islands, called Kinaliada. Im subscribed to this one longboarder youtuber in turkey, he made a vid of that island. That’s the island i grew up at

This had been overdue, again & again. But happy to deliver Image. From August 2018 till June, my travel has been on the decline. So far, I've been to NYC in christmas, Richmond, VA as a day trip, been to Baltimore a few times and gotten to know the good parts of the area more becuase of that girl I dated for a while. One week of Turkey, because seeing and missing family, so nothing touristy, yet again.

NYC & Buffalo - June 2019 (Birthday weekend)

Spend the night at one of my family friends apartment in Tribeca
Image

En Route to Buffalo!
Stopped a little outside of Syracuse to eat, it was unbelievably cold for June that I didn't even bring anything warm to wear. So we had to shop at dicks sporting good since they don't have anything else there. Got myself a nice Browning hoodie.
Image
Image

We made it! But holy :mahtroy: I wouldn't exactly call this town touristy, because we couldn't find a decent place to eat, except for their local casino where we settled for low key trash franchise, which was TGI. But whatevs. Also there's Tim Horton coffee! @Tarspin can explain what that is. It was 5/7.

Image
Image
Image

And back to the Big Apple we came. Spent couple nights and headed back home, using zipcar.

This is where one of the World Trade Center towers used to be located

I basically only ventured southern part of Manhattan, cause I have been there many times. I saw a 5/7 pizza place where I would eat there again. I know, I'm exaggerating, but :aintcare:

Buffalo has tons of great food, but it looks like you went for Niagra falls which isn't quite downtown Buffalo so it's a bit more difficult to find many places there.

Actually you're right, I did pass the town on the way back to NYC. I'd probably make a stop there for the books if I have a reason to road trip to montreal, quebec the land of maple syrup and poutine.

That's the wrong side of the state to get to Queeebeck though. A stop in the Thousand Islands or Adirondacks would probably be a better choice if you're heading that way.
