'd on my daily i don't feel okay with adding much capital to the car's replacement. It would need to be just as fun in its own way AND have hit rock bottom/appreciating AND cost similar to upkeep. It would for sure be a short list.
"nice" Corvettes of any generation bottom in the mid to low teens. Nice C4's are still in the low teens, solid C5's in the mids and C6's in the upper. And that will probably stay for some time, even when C7 values start to fall. I could sell the C5 and get a new JL, but I think within six months I'd miss having a sports car.

Plus I've dropped that couple thousand into required maintenance and modz, so I'd have to spend that as well.

I think a light project (no full engine swaps, rust outs, anything like that) would be fun. That's where I started with this WranGAYler thing in the first place, get a cheap TJ and just dick around with it. A cheap offroader would be great...but they don't exist anymore. Unless you get a Tracker or Samuri or something (which would be awesome)
