Saw one in Munich about 3 years ago. They're :mindblown: big in person. O'Hare is supposed to be able to handle them soon. Looking forward to seeing one fly over my house. I'm on a flight path.

788? Stretched 787?

I seek them out for my international travel when I can. That higher humidity and air pressure do wonders for comfort.
Agreed. I flew one once a couple years ago from Warsaw to Chicago. Was really comfortable.

Flying a triple 7 to Germany this weekend. That's still not a bad plane, imo.

The big ones are the 380s. 350 is about the size of the 777.
Oh shit, you're right! I was thinking of the 380. :derp:

So, I'm not familiar with the 350. Twin engine? Replacing the 340?

I'm a plane nerd.

The 380 is AMAZING sadly not performing well.
Assuming you mean not performing in the marketplace.
I think history will show that Boing made the better business decision when they went with medium capacity planes to reach more hubs vs Airbus' model of giganto-planes to go between fewer, large hubs.

Known by NATO Forces as The Bear. So when you hear in a movie a fighter pilot say "locked and loaded for Bear" that's what they are referring to.
Ah yes, the old Soviet Bear Bomber. Didn't realize they're still flying these things. Then again, we're still flying B52s.

Ohh if you're in business you'll be in the new Polaris seats. Pics!
:bruh:
This ain't no company card business trip. This is on my dime so we're going :scrooge: coach. However, this trip will put my miles at over 100k so next year's trip can possibly be business class. :like:

Ah dang. That'll be the new economy seats too which should be a big improvement.
Will report back. Fortunately, neither of us is tall so :scrooge: seats aren't that uncomfortable for us. And all seats get 5/7 entertainment screens these days so I'll be watching many movies en route.

I've never seen it! Added to my list.
I should say, it's more Cold War drama re potential nuclear annihilation, but it mostly takes place in the cockpit of a B58 Hustler.

Speaking of "adding to your list" you told me some months ago that you were going to pick up Tina Fey's audiobook Bossy Pants. Did you ever listen to it?

I worked in a variety of positions on the F-35 program over the course of about 5 years. From data analysis and regression testing on flight test data out at Edwards AFB, to procurement out in Palmdale where they are assembled, and finally more procurement and subcontract work down here in San Diego. I can probably still answer some basic questions about that stuff.
