Gotta rename it. Can’t be buck buck the stripper jeep truck. Or I guess it could?Desertbreh wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 11:41 amLOL. You drive an Orange Stripper Truck.Detroit wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 9:53 am
Right now, the only alternative I've come up with is a basic <$10k and convincing the wife to take the top and doors off her JL. She for whatever reason loves driving with the top and doors off, but only in my truck...she doesn't want to "molest" (her words) her Jeep by "turning it into a stripper".
Even if I convinced her of that, we're not taking the kayaks to the lake with it stripped because it can't. And we won't be cruising around with the top off a basic truk when camping because obviously it won't come off.

Yeah man. I’d be ok with a 150k GMT800. Skip the work truck spec and it’s likely it just ran around suburbs With an empty bed all it’s life.Detroit wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 4:33 pmExactly!
I'd head west to CA or AZ and buy a GMT400 to 800 with under 200k miles and no rust. ZFG about the interior or paint as long as it's rust free and well maintained mechanically. That's easy for under $10k.
Hell, I bought my 92 GMT400 with 190k miles and drove it across the country fully loaded with a trailer two days later. All I did was change all the fluids before leaving. Didn't skip a beat. Never should have sold that truck.

I honestly have no reason to get rid of the GTI. It’s depreciated as shit based on mileage (42,xxx) and I still have about 30k miles of warranty on it.
I was entertaining the possibility of a truck but I think if I go “new/newish” car it would be a Corolla or RAV4 hybrid or some jazz.
I’d like to avoid financing/payment life as long as I can.
