All of this Jeep pricing shit, just a small sliver of which is discussed above, is rapacious profiteering of inestimable proportion. That and the yawner engine options keep me away from those things.

If you don't value removable roof and doors, JL/T makes minimal sense compared to other things IMO.max225 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 12:56 pmWhich is why I am in a 48k taco vs a 60k equally equipped JLDesertbreh wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 12:46 pm All of this Jeep pricing shit, just a small sliver of which is discussed above, is rapacious profiteering of inestimable proportion. I don't value those things, but I look at a JT far more longingly than any other non full size truck.

I need to keep an eye out for this one. Would be a fun way to kill time, I haven't built Lego anything in way too long.

Well, they are cool. It is not a quantifiable thing, but a JT is cool, a Ranger is not.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 3:05 pmI don't value those things, but I look at a JT far more longingly than any other non full size truck.

I do not understand the sale of a single Ranger. They are hideous.D Griff wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 12:10 pmWell, they are cool. It is not a quantifiable thing, but a JT is cool, a Ranger is not.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 3:05 pm

Blind brand loyalty is all I can figure. There's zero other reason to buy a Ranger. The powertrain (2.3T and 10-speed) is decent, that's about it.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 2:52 pmI do not understand the sale of a single Ranger. They are hideous.

I think the 2.3/10 speed is fabulous combo. Best in the Biz IMO. If you're anti Toyota because of Pearl Harbor. The Ranger makes a lot of sense. It is a solid 15-20k cheaper than a JT, and unless you want the roof off it'll do everything you want. I don't find it to be more hideous than the Chevy offering..Detroit wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 2:58 pmBlind brand loyalty is all I can figure. There's zero other reason to buy a Ranger. Well, that's the tarted up "Tremor"...............The more stripper versions look atrocious. Plus this forum has, through continual reinforcement, convinced my that all Ford products that are NOT a GT or GT500 are pieces of garbage.max225 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 3:41 pmI think the 2.3/10 speed is fabulous combo. Bronco Sport is pretty good..
Bronco is coming... The ranger while boring seems fine as a truck. And yes I am showing a non white contractor longbed 2wd truck because who the fuck gets that in a lifestyle vehicle.
