Anyone ever had a soft top before? I'm wondering how cautious to be with the plastic window pieces... like will they get scratched up if we just throw them in the back? I think preferred method is leaving them inside... at least the top could still go up in a pinch, only the hatch would get soaked.
My JK was a soft top...and yes those plastic windows can and will scratch, so be gentle with them. I carried a bottle of quick detailer and a microfiber cloth in my jeep, and when I was going to take the windows off, I'd clean them quickly so they could be stacked without risking scratching. IF/when they're clean, just throw them in the back.
I love the versatility of the soft top, I just really like the quietness and comfort (in the winter) of the hard top. I probably would have gotten a soft top on my JT if wasn't so against it

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.
If you missed women like you missed cars, you would be on your 5th marriage.
There’s no comparison between the JKU and the WK2 when it comes to highway manners and comfort but I really appreciated the rough and tumble nature of the
As someone who’s no longer working in an office and wearing dress clothes to work, the Trailcock is a bit posh and tough to keep clean inside.
Offices are dead?
I cleaned the inside of the last night. Lots of sand I’m glad it came with the rubber mats.
As long as I remember to set an alarm and a notification to remind me of when to certify for my weekly 30 minute window to receive my gubment cheese, yes.
I find it interesting to hear that “most will never take tops of door off” comments yet every single person I have known to have em do it on the regular ! Awesome !

We still haven't taken the doors off either our Jeeps, but the freedom panels come off constantly. Wife hasn't had the panels on her JL in weeks.
Taking the entire roof off will be a super rare occurrence

Also, the JL threw a CEL Friday while wife was driving.
Used the good ol bluetooth OBD II dongle with the torque app to read and clear the code...small evap leak likey gas cap. I unscrewed it and screwed it back in, we'll see if the code comes back.

The little toolkit Jeep gives you for the doors/windshield is really 5/7.
Spiderwebshade is and makes it feel like there is a headliner when you have the freedom panels on.
My ONLY beef with the tool kit is FCA spent all that money buying a chrome ratchet. But when you use it to remove the doors, it's really high risk of scratching. I have a 1/4" ratchet from harborfreight with a rubberized coating that would work way better.

Rubberized ratchet edges would have been so much better.
