Unfortunately that's not that far off... also i guess that's the price floor because anything under 10k is rusted to shit with 10k in deferred maintenance... and no one can afford 25k new ?Detroit wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 3:56 pmTHIS is what I'm talking about. There's many people that think the GMT800 was the last "good" GM full size truck. Obviously stupid, but it's a thing.
Here, they're ALL rusted to shit. Not like a little...holes in the body and whatnot. I'm not as interested in the GMT900 because of the marketability of an 800.

Makes sense the GMT800 was the last normal "full size" imo... they went full after... 250" long and 7' tall because reasons...Detroit wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 4:11 pmThere's many people that think the GMT800 was the last "good" GM full size truck. Obviously stupid, but it's a thing.

I don't care about Z71, but it looks lifted (probably cranked up the torsion bars so it rides like hell), would be a pass.dubshow wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 5:25 pm Last resort would be this which could be a decent sail back home

Anything decent from Ferd or Mopar? I honestly know nothing outside of GM trucks.

2003 GMT800 Tahoe, no rust, 142K miles. $25K FIRM.Detroit wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 3:35 pm Let's have some fun here...
I'm flying out to CA tomorrow to attend a friend's wedding in Santa Barbara. Many people have told us we're crazy to get on our flight with the spread of the plague...risking "being stuck" quarantined in CA. That would be awesome for us for many reasons, so fingers crossed that happens. Our return flight is scheduled for Tuesday, but the wife and I are having fun with the "what if" scenario of Delta cancelling our flight (along with other flights out of CA). Our plan right now would be to buy a rust-free CA something for $5-$10k to drive back to MI, camping along the way, and selling for a profit in MI to cover the costs.
In MI, older 70-90s american trucks/SUVs are gold. Most rusted away, so a rust-free CA truck can fetch a nice premium here. Needs to be a 4x4, but a cool 2WD "muscle truck" type thing could work too. Open to brands and car/pickup/SUV...just needs to have enough room for some camping gear AND be an easy sell in Michigan (no german/Japanse wagons or the like unless SUPER cool).
Post up some cool shit between San Diego and Pay area.
