Yes and no. I'd love to take the knob but you kind of have to mangle a plastic collar on the stock knob to separate it from the boot. I'll take another look tomorrow but I think a new knob with boot may be required which is $108.

New car has arrived at the . Has 149 miles on it. But VW asked about my parts on the car but sadly they won't cover the cost to switch them. It's fine as they've already done way more than I expected. So with the cost to uninstall, buy new stock knob, and reinstall I guess I might as well just buy a new knob and clutch bleeder block.

One thing that I will have switched over is the resonator delete so they want me to drop mine off tonight to do the switch and pickup the new car tomorrow. I don't think I can so I'll try for Friday.

So I accommodated the and went over there tonight to drop off my R and take the new one for a test drive. They gave me a Jetta loaner with digital cockpit and different ambient lighting colors.

Picking it up tomorrow night.
