Yeah I guess it would be cool to laqueesha's who probably don't feel like getting a new car for a month, drive a beater, then pay 650 for an Altima and such. Would do in a BMW NFG. Most brands only have 1-3 cars I actually like.

It could be nice to DD a sports car and swap it for a occasionally to haul shit. M2/X5, 86/Highlander, whatever.D Griff wrote:I guess BMW would be one of the better ones, or Porsche, but that would beMexicanYarisTK wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2020 6:53 pm Yeah I guess it would be cool to laqueesha's who probably don't feel like getting a new car for a month, drive a beater, then pay 650 for an Altima and such. but if you really think about it and everyone would do it, that would probably kill some cars off the market, especially sporty oriented cars. Especially since some of us are dealing with the cons of daily driving a sporty oriented car that makes driving in shitty roads an unpleasurable journey. Ie. if I had a VW program and wanna road trip, I'd switch up from a GTI to Atlas if I wanna haul a shit ton of stuff and simply be more comfortable overall.troyguitar wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2020 7:15 pmIt could be nice to DD a sports car and swap it for a occasionally to haul shit. Yeah, interestingly enough, Toyota would be one of my top contenders at this point.troyguitar wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2020 7:15 pmIt could be nice to DD a sports car and swap it for a occasionally to haul shit. M2/X5, 86/Highlander, whatever.D Griff wrote:

I could see a use for an 86, Supra, Corolla Hatch , Camry, 4Runner, and Tundra.

I'm out of the loop since I bought a car already. Are they finally bringing the 4 cylinder supra here? Any pricing clues yet?
IMO it needs to be $39995 con manuel before it's remotely interesting.

Yes, it's coming. No, the pricing isn't released. I agree on the price/spec.troyguitar wrote: ↑Thu Feb 20, 2020 9:36 am I'm out of the loop since I bought a car already. Are they finally bringing the 4 cylinder supra here? Any pricing clues yet?

I think it has to be coming, it's really the only thing that could give that car a bit of a competitive edge... $40K 4-cylinder.

Miata is great but it's a light weight, simple sports car at $30K... if you want to step up to something with more powah, the Supra makes sense at $40K... at $60K, most will go Corvette or mid-engine Porsche.

the 4 pot in the Supra will be about 230 or 240 hp, and with the extra weight will be same acceleration as Miata. So Miata coupe with longer wheel base
brain go brrrrrr

I own a car with the Supra 4 cylinder... and I've driven all Miata versions but the ND2 and my pig dad wagon is a lot quicker, particularly above 50 MPH. I love Miatas and they are cool for autox but lack in top end and require a ton of modifying to take them to a track if you're not a midget.Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Thu Feb 20, 2020 11:07 amthe 4 pot in the Supra will be about 230 or 240 hp, and with the extra weight will be same acceleration as Miata. Still going to be lower/mid $40 range, though.
They’re easily available without markup now. If you’ve got $45 to spend on a RWD sports car, a small bump to $50 isn’t too much of a stretch.
