Elise would be dope and pretty safe bet financially as long as you don't get in any accidents. They drive amazing but are very unrefined and make a feel like a Phaeton.Tarspin wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 2:37 pmYeah that hood sucks. I would probably do more due diligence to get an unmolested version.
I am probably a couple of years away from anything like it. Gorf gets paid off and we will probably pickup a cheaper lease for Nicole, something like a 2020 Santa Fe which gets us a combined $700/month savings and gets us back to debt reduction. Right now we are just breaking even due to self-inflicted financial :seppuku:
I want something non-depreciating, light, and mid-engine and do autox and track events with it. I think this 2/3rds gets a person there for little money and effort. Gen2 MR2 is awesome and somewhat cheap as well but they are older.
My favorite idea is spending twice as much and picking up an Elise. In the end it's sold for purchase price so
For now I place the idea into the old spank bank.
I would 5/7 own one. I think I'd like to go mid engine next go around as well

My SO wouldn't even drive around in the C6, hated the noise and top down wind buffeting and it made her nauseousD Griff wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 3:17 pmElise would be dope and pretty safe bet financially as long as you don't get in any accidents. Next one is zero compromises, strictly sporty handling
Mine enjoys the roof off/convertible aspect of a sports car... the main thing she doesn't like about the C5 is ze scrape, but is otherwise pretty about the car thing, she knows I'm pretty much gonna do what I'm gonna do and

My lady said that she likes the way the C6 vert looked so I was ok to consider it and after we (I) got it she didn't want to , so basically I'm buying it for myself and maybe one of the kids too if they are into tinkering with cars.
The older one will be probably be around 12 y/o and have a few hours of :scooting: around parking lots driving my cars on my lap. Both of my boys are inherently into working on them with me when I'm out doing things like tire swaps, etc.

This one is probably junk. I picked it out of a list based on color, trans and price.[user not found] wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 4:48 pmFront bumper and hood replaced?Tarspin wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2020 7:17 pm This would be awesome!

I think having experienced owning Japanese sporty cars one can say there is a sense of nostalgia maybe, but they are also a different kind of fun which strikes a balance of lighter weight, less power and more reliability/affordability for the most part. 15k is a pretty reasonable pricetag for a toy like that.

I still like the G35 coupe. They're sharp and a lot more usable than the Z.

Agree with both of you. The G35 was awesome looking in coupe form. The 350Z also looked freaking awesome.
Both have aged well. Interiors are kinda crap though and they’re almost all beat to hell inside because the materials haven’t held up.
I still want a 370z.

The car was probably commissioned by some guy who can't finish paying for it, or can no longer use it/wants it so it's being sold to recoup whatever it can get.D Griff wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 8:40 ambuild that just to immediately off it at an insane loss?CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 8:26 am https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_ ... 5&sfnsn=mo

I like it a lot... super dope looking vehicle, but not enough to budge off of my idea to lease a Santa Fe for 5/7$ of a Touareg lease. Same size, just a cheaper knock off version of something nice. These types of vehicles depreciate so hard, my wife and I have no desire to own one outright.dubshow wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 10:15 am I don't know why but I am really liking the new GLB from benzo.

Yeah, its how they trimmed cost. I agree mostly
But I care. If we go on a winter road trip to land of sneaux, I want some damn AWD for my airboat summer spoorts.
