Stupid price. Probably the coolest W211 money can buy outside of an E55, and a better car than the E55

I thought the BMW was your wife's? She rocks the Tahoe?Desertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 2:47 pmBecause I would rather drive this thing all day everyday over the BMW and the price is pretty much a wash.

I thought it was daughter carless at college, in the Beemah, Tahoe doing Cartel duty, and Eric rockin' the E Class.

She rocks the Tahoe and I'm getting her a 2019 6.2 Premier replacement in 2-3 months. QPB then goes to Mexico.D Griff wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 4:15 pmI thought the BMW was your wife's? She rocks the Tahoe?Desertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 2:47 pm

So a 80k ancient boat is cool? But a brand new Tessie at 85 is not ?Desertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 5:04 pmShe rocks the Tahoe and I'm getting her a 2019 6.2 Premier replacement in 2-3 months. QPB then goes to Mexico.

My child will wake the fuck up and take that off my hands one of these days. In the meantime its a low cost 3rd car. In the meantime, as you noted, I am being offered $29,555 for a BMW that is......:who cares: to me, for reasons we have already discussed. Plus it's due for a $400 battery any day now, plus the ramz are curbed courtesy of my wife, all niggling things that need fixed. PLUS brake fluid service due in August. Problems I can just give to VROOM. I am, quite frankly, very about the build quality of the F36, it is just ok. I can basically instead get a car that I really dig, an EVERY SINGLE OPTION W211 with 12K miles on it, with the most powerful AND reliable (non AMG) V-8 Mercedes has ever built. 382hp, 391 torks, 7 speed auto. Strong off the line, missile on the higway. AMG Sport pkg. Its an interesting car. The BMW, to quote Griffdog, is BORING, B58 or not. The MBZ has lived 10 years of its life in CA, the rest in NC. Guys bought it at auction. They are shooting me a pick of the undercarriage.

Just make sure you're not going to want to the Merc, that is a car you would lose your ass on hard if you decide it isn't for year after a year of daily duty. You're not really a swap cars every year guy, but something to keep in mind.
I guess it really doesn't matter though, that BMW or that Merc will drop $10K in the next year.

Hmm.... I mean I am on board with everything but the price. What you're getting on the Beema is somewhat irrelevant to the purchase price of the MB. Near 30k for something that will be 10k in 2 years and 30k miles seems a bit to me. Might as well lease a new M3.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 5:13 pmMy child will wake the fuck up and take that off my hands one of these days. In the meantime its a low cost 3rd car. The man loves old Mercs for whatever reason. I agree with you, but it is a one-of-a-kind car and we all like what we like.max225 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 5:24 pmHmm.... I am sort of hoping you end up just to hear a close account first hand of the ownership experience. It would be something different to have on the forum.
