I like this V8. And the trans. It’s so strong.
Not sure if it has mag ride but it rides pretty decently really. We’ve bottomed the suspension a few times but even that isn’t too jarring. Nicely sorted car.
Still not hot on the interior and visibility. This car would be awesome as a sedan.
My exact thoughts after 2 weeks with a 2019 Camaro SS 10AT.
Now if I can turn back time and buy a Chevy SS when they were 20% off.

You really can't beat a natty V8... buy 'em up while they're still around.

I'm a fucking failure.

They review well and even the bmw bros say the are compatible to PS4S but they almost cost the same. I need to do some serious miles in the next couple of years and want to find a balance of quiet/comfort/longevity for cheap if possible but not be totally disappointed when I try to have a little fun. I feel like these are too good for what I need to achieve.
ECS should be in the same price range as the indy 500 for most sizes. I thought that they were perfect on my MR2 and plan to buy them again whenever the time comes. I haven't driven on the 500
I'm getting quoted $880 for the 500s and $1280 for the ECS from local shops. Not sure if I want to pay the upcharge for my driving habits.

Oh wow. Fuck that.
One other new tire to check: Yokohama v601 I think is the model, another PSS alternative essentially.

Canadian exchange obviously scales it all down in US funds but the gap is stupid. Will check some reviews on those and get pricing. Thanks Troy
I just pulled up Tire Rack to remind myself which tires exist and the Conti ECS is indeed almost 50% more than the Indy 500 right now. The new tires that actually compete directly with it are the General G-Max RS and Falken FK510, not that Yoko V601.
I haven't tried any of them but test results are positive for both and they're priced the same as the 500 at least in my size. I'd toss a coin between the General and the Falken in this price range, personally. The extra wet traction over the 500 would be worth it and the reduced noise over the Comp2 would also be worth it. Maybe leaning toward the Falken just because they're not directional so you can rotate them left to right.
I haven't looked at tires in a while. I guess the ECS replaced the EC DW? I have the DWs on the GTO, and I like them. They corner better than the NT05s they replaced.
However, I was impressed by the grip that the 500s have, even in colder temperatures.
Proving Boomers wrong?
Millennials are 25-40 years old... how the fuck are they getting licences now? I have had mine since 16.
Also the article is comparing overall #s not %'s... when the population was 1/2 of what it is today.
Number of reasons. Ones who moved to the country around that age. Moved from big cities, etc. I once dated a 28 year old girl off hinge recently moved here from NY and was in process of getting her license.
Also getting a license 19 and up is a lot easier than a younger age (atleast in my state), you just need a learners permit for one month and around with a licensed driver, and boom, street legal. Explains the shitty drivers around
