I still read some of your comments.

Not ignored, its just kinda bland imo. I prefer the german interiors. So does wife. We looked at those and the cx7 a good bit but I havent driven one back to back to compare.

FWIW my friend said those super sexy seats in the sq5 weren't very comfortable after 30min or so. The fancy quilted ones. He couldn't wait to trade it in. Also the brakes are $$$ to replace.

It is the best car here (biased obviously, I own this car), the only car here, and the thing that she wants from the sounds of it. Why is it even a discussion? How is it not kid friendly? I have had four 6'+ people and a bunch of shit in my poverty sedan version many times in comfort.

To her discomfort about the badge whoring thing and stigma. It is real and a consideration to think long and hard about. I know it's mostly in my head, but feeling like an ass hole next to every homeless person gets old. Having family be all "ooohhhh ahhh a BMW" gets old. I don't think I'd buy another. I agree with her though, the wagon is far less "douche" than an X5 and will likely hold value a bit better.

I've never driven one either but people rave about them being actually sporty. Sounds like you're after luxury :doe: so maybe check out them :fancy: lincoln trucks?

proper quick with not much turbo surge.
loud tires, loads of grip as expected
great brakes
rough suspension (as a sport suv should be)
good on features like 360 camera and vented seats
back seat is a bit cramped.

And if I remember right, the 2018 SQ5 switched to the turbro V6 and no longer has the supercharger. :iono: reliability on the turbo.

OH SNAP. You are correct on engine swap. I did NOT know that. :rage:

Wife felt the x3 is too basic. The m40i isnt easy to find used.
Even the M40i? Here's a couple on Vroom and a few at the :dillerman:

:( They really seem great. A friend of mine has one and loves it.

I know it's a pretty big gamble but doesn't Vroom have a return policy if you don't like it? The silver Vroom one looks sweet.

thats a big spend and maybe some headache for a site unseen buy. The wife is back fairly firm in the no suv camp. She never really loved them like she has an odd love of wagoons.

Is the Jag XF wagon cheap enough yet? I know they're rare but it could be :nice: compared to a 3 series.
