How is the service network relevant? That should stay the say regardless of how your buy your Ford. Still a win
That’s the reason you can’t sell directly to customers in Michigan’s. The got together and claimed that buying directly would hurt customers.
Michigan and a number of states still won't allow direct sales. Dealer lobby groups are rich and powerful, and hold many state legislatures by the balls. It's terrible.
Worse though, this article isn't saying Ford is going to go to direct sales...they can't. Instead, they're going to make people order cars through dealers instead of buying off the lot. It's going to be a nightmare. Established OEMs will need to go under or close to it to get rid of these regulations to work freer. That's ok.
Service is a thing though. A Ford will need more service than a Tesla, even if it doesn't, Ford would never invest in the mobile service concept like Tesla has.

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.
The CRV is shaking / rumbling above 70 MPH.
Checked tire pressures, they're all good.
Going to have to make a dealer appt tomorrow. Hopefully it's just an out of balance wheel or something, and not a defective rear driveshaft or motor mounts.
Car has like 170 miles on it.
On the plus side, mileage is going up. We're at 37 average right now. Must have been a bunch of idling or test drives or whatever initially.

Hopefully it's just a tire issue like you say. First the F150 and now the Hon your family can't get away from brand new car problems.

That’s shitty. Hopefully an easy fix. I had 0 issues in the taco in the last 10 months. Hopefully they rectify the problem.

It’ll be great in 2 years for 30k used. But the question is will they sell enough of them to be around in the secondary market.
Jeep/wagoneer doesn’t have the badge to warrant 6 figures imo. Unless it has a hellcat motor which it doesn’t. People that shop 6 figure price tags will take a Lincoln/caddy over this all day long
I would honestly rather have the Tessie for six figs
A model X long range is about 25k cheaper and faster . I have 0 ideas as to who the target customer for the Jeep is other than a Cadillac Escalade shopper…
Let’s be honest someone going for euro/jap cars will not look at a Jeep 2x.
Now an Escalade shopper at least has the brand behind them… Jeep they make 20k rebadged italian bread boxes and things that have porta potty roofs.
I would have ever signed off on a business case for this thing. Not in a million years

DFD. The forum where everybody makes the same choices and then tells anybody trying to join the club that they are the stupidest motherfucker to ever walk the earth.

Ok, what if you want to tow 8000?
That should be ok in that thing.
That's beyond the 7500 for the Escalade so there were go. So I think advertising 7 screens is a bit much? Yes, but I'm not sure what the Escalade offers over this besides pop culture fame.
