Now that my 328i is gone... I will admit that GTIs are more fun to drive.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 5:51 pmI you would have listened to it you would be driving a BMW 550i manual with a tune.

I did 1100 miles on the R on Monday night-Tuesday night driving to and from Vegas and had a great time. Even pulling about 14 hours of driving time in 24 hours I really wasn't too tired.

Appointment to buy out the T-reg set for Wednesday next week and starting to get pumped about this thing getting old enough that I'm allowed to throw a lift kit and some on it and do some soft roading. Funny ass Aussie peeps taking one on a circuit:

I do like mine. The Rabbit trim is nearly perfect for a daily since it gave me the LED headlights while retaining cloth seats and no sunroof. It's a comfortable car to drive and even fit all the motor parts for my trip to the machine shop.

Dunno... my 2019 R drives great, but refined??? hmmm, the fact that 75% of the "oh shit" handles on the headliner have failed in the first 6 months and were never used doesn't scream refinement.
Seriously, 3 of the 4 handles have dropped the pin and spring that keep them suspended, so now they just hang down in your peripheral vision. I had to resort to using VHB tape to hold them up since the warranty replacement will just fail as well due to the crappy plastic on plastic pin that holds the spring in.
