Does anyone have any Range Rover Sport experience ? Looking for some reliability questions... yea yea i know "they are the worst" but anything empirical ?
06-08 have first model year issues, but I am surprised how well they seem to hold up from a Visual perspective. Almost no wear and tear on leather even at well over 100k miles etc.
In particular I am curious about the 4.4L Jag motor... it seems to have timing chain guide crap as per others but
if it happens at 150k+ miles. Tranny is ZF 6 speed so that should be ok.

It's not powertrain that kills you on those. It's the rest of the entire car for the most part.

I am finding really limited info on actual issues. What are the most common probs ? I am a person who doesn't use any "gadgets" hell I set it and forget it when it comes to things like steering wheels/temperature etc. I never use heater, but AC is a must.

Lol, the Soul was bought way back in 2019.
It's fair to remove it from the list.

My old boss had a RR Sport (English dude). It was really nice inside despite having some years/miles on it in Los Angeles. He said that service was super pricey... most of his issues were little things that could possibly be DIY.

I would DIY all service items. Based on what I can tell, the suspension needs doing at about 100k miles, which is probably around 1500-2000, and of course the doomsday timing chain, but that should be audible during any test drive.

I believe the Air Suspension is a problem. I'm not sure about the cost per corner on replacement parts.

Yea as it ages I can totally see it.
$500 per set it seems.

Here you go brah. If you throw another 10 on top for repairs its still a nice rig for 30 grand.

I personally love how the LR4 looks over the RR Sport but they are bigger/heavier I think.

Yea if you remove the supercharger that senselessly blows up at 100k, you can save another 5k. I have no interest in "performance" when it comes to a tank, it strains an already strained powertrain.

I would want the blower. Which just leaves me hating myself bitterly the second after I agree to buy one of these used while the whole world laughs their ass off at me as the repair bills stack up like cordwood. I do agree the 2002-2012 Sports are nice looking trucks with interiors like a bespoke living room. They're just not a smart thing to do with your money.

The blower literally increases running costs by 30%.
0-60 in 7 is plenty obviously speaking for myself.
Repair costs are the question in mind here. I still don’t have any solid info yet.

The "Responsible" option is a pre facelift JGC but I find it to be quite hideous and too mom mobily. A RR is at least somewhat unique and cool... worthy of the increased running costs IMO.

It's a truck. I'm ok with it not being cool. The RR only impresses gay men and people who detest money.

as I understand it was a purchase made where the vehicle isn't intended to be driven by the DFD member taking krebitz for the
, be it a spouse or girlfriend or other member of the
hold.
Right so what cut off do you want to do ? There are those here that roll in their spouses cars all the time ala desert. There are those that never do it... to add to all this, some buy it/make the decision for their spouse others let them do it... we either draw the battle line or keep the gray area.
