I don't love :datass: at all, but I think every other angle is :nice: , I certainly wouldn't say no to one.
I was mainly referring to the ride height...

I think it's fine. My C5 is now at 4X4 height and while it does look slightly worse than before, it's just so much more pleasant to drive.

Correct. This is a test car and had a "hold my beer" moment.

At least 3 other vehicles were also involved in that collision and that one car is missing the entire rear axle... :wtf: the speed limit is like 25 on that road..

Looks like it drifted from the right lane into oncoming traffic

Honestly in this moment I think the GM folks are HELLA lucky that they hit an oncoming car which prevented them from going over the fucking mountain.

Holy pucker factor there

Yeah, it is $11k more for a C8 2LT Z51 than my C7 2LT Z51 with the same options... but, cannot have the manual transmission.

Have they shown the cloth seats in real life anywhere? Seems like that might be a first time offering on a Corvette. :scrooge: 1LT/cloth for $60k OTD in 2021 could be :neat: - not that I'll really buy one.

Cloth?

Where did you hear that? The pricing sheet from Chevy notes the 1LT has the GT1 seats.

I think there's an option on the configurator for partial cloth seats

Maybe it will be like the 2014 SS where enough people will bitch about the car being automatic only that GM will release a manual trans version the following year? :iono:

So many leaks, so :notsure: but not stopping them from jumping on the wagon.

First it was that a TT flat plane crang engine with 800hp was coming to the Z06 in 2022. Now they say that's actually the ZR1 variant and the Z06 will have a NA motor making "in excess of 600 hp". Then a hybrid ala the NSX style front drive electric they are claiming will be called the Zora or eRay that is speculated to have about 1000 combined HP.

Nobody knows, but at least they are following the standard rollout for up-spec models in the second and third year of production.

Looks like the exact 0-60 and 1/4 mile times were leaked. 0-60 in 3.0(2.9 z51) and 1/4 in 11.3 @121mph. Mph is about right where I expected it, maybe a hair slow.

In my 9 years of living in the car show capital of the NE, this weekend was the worst traffic wise. I can only guess because GM brought 12 C8's to bear

Corvettes at Carlisle

https://www.corvetteonline.com/event-co ... ord-books/

Still, its always :neat: on the thursday and Friday heading towards town while all the daytripper Corvette bros are leaving. Literally 35-50% of the cars on the road in late afternoon/early evening are Vettes......

AWEEE YEAAAAH its like there is a never ending supply of these Corvette owners. Also wouldn't it make sense that every year is "record breaking" I am sure more corvettes hit the road every year vs the pole outside of the favorite hooterz spot.
Like walking stereotypes... Newbalance, white socks... fat... and 55-70 years old... :dat: c7 sure bring in all that young blood, which is what they said would happen with the C6, and C5 and C4..... this doesn't change...
Image

That's my biggest gripe with the corvette. That "exclusive" owners club is just... :gag:
