I'd wait a year or two to iron out all the issues.
This.. Plus, more options.

GM always adds things in the following years that they won't update or upgrade for first year buyers.

MG tried that with the Hummer Alpha. Didn't work.

Anyone else think it looks better without the wing? It looks Ferrari~ish with the sleeker body line comme ça.
Also, I hate that yellow. It's too neon. Needs moar red in it to bring it down to what the Millennium Yellow is

I think the gray convertible one is the best looking one I've seen so far, but I can't say why.

Oh yea... this thing is also a hard top and convertible... unlike all those 50-90k "spyder" upcharges... you can get an entire C8 ... for the roof less charge.

But you have to manually remove it and stow it in the trunk.

I guess if you always have your butler in the passenger seat it's not that bad.

The flipside is supercars with the cloth roofs up are hideous looking. So yes... the terrible 2 min inconvenience seems like a selling point to me.

I was hoping to actually do what I said I was going to do on both my C7's and finally order a Torch Red Corvette.

My Z06 started out as a TR order but I changed it the morning before it went to status 2000.

I love the targa aspect of the :poorvette: and I'm really glad it stayed for C8, especially with a place to stow the top in the vehicle. Such an epic feature.

Uh, yeah. That was a joke. The roof is the best part of the car to me at this point, other than the neatness of being ME... but I don't expect failures with the removable roof.

Oh you mean like when the C6 roofs used to delaminate  But... it's a brand new car :sass:

But if you store the roof in the trunk you can't fit the golf clubs. You'll have to choose your level of Gold-Chainery. You'll never be like 2-Chains. You'll have to settle with being 1-Chain or Fiddy Cent-chain or some shit

"Spyder" or whatever versions always look terrible IMO. Top up or down, doesn't matter. That's why targa is so epic, it's just really hard to package a spot to put the top in the vehicle, and since these are usually afterthoughts, they don't bother to try.

Civic Sport vs C8.
Love this place.
:dat:

Nowhere else can you find these cross shops. Or the :turboyaris: :poorvette: :turboyaris: :poorvette: :plac: moves. It is truly special.

I think this would be a pretty darn rad car for Max, kind of along the lines of when I suggested a first gen NSX. Cool, rare, mid engined sports car that won't drop a ton in value in the year or two he has it if he goes this route.

It would be :neat: but so many forces against it... at this point in time... "early 2020" means at least late 2020 for me, I certainly wouldn't want a first batch... and that's a :plac: ternity away...

Sure, when you remove the roof, it takes cargo room, but in normal convertibles you lose that all of the time whether the top is up or down. Targa is best of both worlds, IMO.

Exactly. And I have the top off all the time.
