I used to do it to my ex coworker/friend since she doesn’t even have a license, but it was already on the way to work and slightly longer route, so I was :aintcare:

Only problem was complaining about my quick acceleration at times.

I don't drive HOV lane period if solo, the penalty is pretty :waxer: IIRC.

Yea i think its $491 here.
Ive been noticing more and more about how many people do it. I used to do it cuz :poorvette: and you never get caught. HOV lanes are just safer. People aren’t playing frogger as much. Ive had more close calls in the vette than I ever did commuting on the street bike. Three days ago some lady pushed me into the carpool. No signal or anything. Yesterday I was going 80 in the fast lane and some guy decided to pass me by going into the hov lane and a CHP bike cop got his ass. It was beautiful to witness.

I didn't used to hop in car pool lane in any of my previous cars. But now that I've got the :poorvette: I feel like i can get away with a lot more.
Just the other day I was in a carpool lane by myself and a chp rolled next to me in the fast lane. He def saw that I was by myself, but just kept on truckin :word:

I'll help break it up a bit. I routinely get on the freeway coming home from work via a carpool only entrance. I don't stay in the lane long, but doing this instead of wrapping under the freeway and entering from the other side typically saves me 10 minutes every day. Is 10 minutes worth the fine if I'm caught? No, but so far I haven't been caught and I only have 3 more days of this commute. I will continue to roll the dice.

The vette is an invincibility car. Never been pulled over in it. I drive WORSE in it than the srt. As fun as it is to pick on corvettes I don’t anymore.
When I was on day shift it took 25+ minutes off my commute. 1 hour and 45 minutes down to an hour and ten. Now that I work nights i lock it in at 80 and get home in 35 minutes. Not really much reason to do it anymore.

Closest carpool lane to us is in Houston. Never rode in it, because I never really understood it. And there's signs everywhere for fines and rules and all sorts of shit. Like if you have a pass or something you can go in it. When I was in Georgia for work there was a lane you could roll in if you had their "Peach Pass". If I drove on those stretches often enough I'd likely pay for it.

I can't even think of a single carpool lane around here. Everybody over here drives with a "take no prisoners" attitude.

It only exists in a few little bubbles - and seems to be being replaced by higher toll lanes instead. Dat greed.

Well call it what you want, same happening here. Latest I have seen was a $9 charge here to drive 10 miles in what used to be carpool. I think I’m done with commiefornia

It's rich people making sure that the decisions are made to suit them. Relieve congestion? Only for the people who can afford to pay more to travel. Fuck the average person, they can share whatever lanes remain after the :waxer: essentially steal "their" half.

It's happening in Charlotte too. They're adding 2 lanes to I77 but not as HOV lanes, they're going to be :waxer: lanes.

Pay cash for 5000 square foot house with a swimming pool in Houston, go to work for big oil, start cranking out Russian/Asian crotchfruit, enjoy diversity, buy sportsball season tickets and crew cab Duramax.
