Not a lot of time to coordinate that. Will look on forums for take-offs though. Should be lots of 17" and 18" stock WRX wheels.Detroit wrote:Gold is 5/7 the way to go...especially for winter tahrs or whatever.

It would be easy to have them refinished I would think. I was going to do that if I had kept it longer...

Likely about $1000 in 3-4 years at this rate. Anything I'd want to replace it with is so it ain't happening for a long time.Melon wrote:How much would you sell it for?troyguitar wrote:I've been thinking about trying some of this to see if I can't reduce highway noise in the vibe:

Dunno though, I might just try not to spend another cent on the car for as long as possible and then it for something that drives its rear wheels eventually...

Living a winter climate and runnin on non winter tires is very very stupid. Im amazed at how many car owning science deniers there are when faced with blunt evidence of how good winter tires are. Its amazing how many police cars have them and they assist those idiots without them and the cars police drive, even here are RWD. Wake up stupid MURICA and get YO Azz some winter Tars mang!

I don't live in Manayunk doe. Actually. The hardest hill I have to take in the snow is on S. Broad St where it crosses under I-76. That's like a solid 6' hill.Calvinball wrote:Johnny_P wrote: Summer tars open diffs vs winter tars LSD

Dave. The real solution is an all season tire with an 80k tread life warranty. Duh.Davestr wrote:Living a winter climate and runnin on non winter tires is very very stupid. I think there's a pretty solid chance the Earth Destroyer will be turned into steel to support either shipbuilding or the oil industry.maxtdi wrote:Mashing the throttle makes sense...Johnny_P wrote: Summer tars open diffs vs winter tars LSD

I hope they don't crush it... but who knows... it would be a real shame.Johnny_P wrote:I think there's a pretty solid chance the Earth Destroyer will be turned into steel to support either shipbuilding or the oil industry.maxtdi wrote:

Winter is way more mild than it was when I was a kid. I feel old saying that but its true. The days of the Halloween snow storm are long gone. Philly gets maybe 3-5 decent snowfalls a year anymore with typically 1 or 2 being rather intense.maxtdi wrote:What is winter? I personally never attempted driving on the summers. There were those who swear it was fine, and others who swear they were all over the place.Johnny_P wrote:I don't live in Manayunk doe. Actually. But think of it this way, having an STI in the snow without winters is like going for a bike ride in jeans and a winter coat. Sure, it'll work, but you'd have a lot more fun and go a lot better in your spandex.
