It's better than the by a wide margin.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2019 1:04 pm Man, that Challenger interior is atrocious. It's really not much of an improvement over a 1970 Challenger. It's definitely a true muscle car in terms of the fact that you are paying for motor and styling, and that's it.

I wonder if they fit over the big brakes?

The Demon, the Hellcat Redeye......those are zeniths of the second great musclecar era. Much like the earlier 426 Hemi :doge:s, ZL1 Camaros, etc. Eight hundred forty horsepower. With a warranty. Insane.

Agreed. I'm just not at that place in my life where I'm comfortable dropping 80+ large on a fun car.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2019 6:38 pm The Demon, the Hellcat Redeye......those are zeniths of the second great musclecar era. It would be tough sledding over here after I told the woman she could probably stand to kick the 80 grand car habit to go and.....buy a car for 80 grand. Plus it's so excessive in every way.Detroit wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2019 6:49 pmAgreed. Dude. Chally Hellkitten would be AWESOME where you live. Detroit is all straight boulevards right? Bullet straight roads that you can hammer down are the only type that make sense in a hellcat!
Can you get them with heated steering wheels?
B5 blue! Plum Crazy! Go Mango! F8 Green! Faster than your vette while being more comfortable, android auto, heated steering wheel, rides better, etc...
I dunno man. This is an epic car for $65k.
A few things. It still comes with 20's, which will be an atrocious ride most of the time. Tire blow outs, bent rims, etc. The streets on my new commute are a bit better, but not much more. I'd also have a really hard time spending $65k on a car I didn't drive year round. And I don't really think a Hellcat is a good year-round vehicle in Michigan.
Then there's the aspect of "using the speed". I think it's the most frustrating part of the
The main road we live off (Woodward, as in the "Dream Cruise") has a 45 mph speed limit, and all along it are cities that use the speeders on Woodward as a method of boosting their coffers. Go much over 10 over, and you're done. Same with accelerating quickly from a light...they consider that "racing" regardless of if you are racing or not, and that's a hefty ticket. My new commute is going to be 80% along Woodward, so the opportunity for fun is minimal.
There's ONE on-ramp by our house onto 1-696 that I can blast down, but I usually hit 100 when I top 3rd, so if I'm unlucky, there's another ticket. I also drove down it yesterday and the freeze thaw has done a number on it, it's heaved all over the place so I'm not sure I get even down it anymore.
TBH, cruising down Woodward with the top and doors off a Gladiator sounds way more fun to me at this point.
The 300s that my dad rolls in also has dubs, it rides like a cloud compared to my m3. These cars actually have sidewall because they(wheels+ tires) are so big. You can easily hit pot holes with it

Very interesting. I'll have to see if I can get into one to test.max225 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2019 10:31 pmDetroit wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2019 9:03 am

I always forget just how big those Challengers are. It's a shame that they never offered the Charger in a manual. I had one as a rental driving to and around Niagara. It was a very comfortable 7-8 hour drive.

Truthfully, just looking at how quickly the manual variants of the Chevy SS sold versus the automatic versions during their discount days, I'd think that the Charger would have a decent split between manual and automatic simply because it would be the only affordable option for someone wanting a full-size, rear-drive sedan with a manual transmission and a V8.

And even then, neither would buy one because "too expensive" or whatever othermax225 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 12:52 pmTarget audience of 2 as mentioned prior by the prophet in the desert.Huckleberry wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 12:50 pm

But forum bros are ing about how nothing good is out there and how this and that and this and that they know better. Drive off into the sunset in a 2003 Camry with 150k miles.
