They're slowly coming down. Still 50% more than my car
and I'm a moran so I only want RWD+6MT, ideally in anything but gray/silver exterior and anything but black interior. Black on tan, white on red, whatever.
996 or a 987.1 cayman is my more likely path to ever having a poorsche unless 997's magically take a big nosedive.
...but I've never driven any of them anyway, maybe I wouldn't even want one. There's a LOT of hype to live up to, especially for a 911.

I suggest I might get a Z3.
Reality my budget is about $10k max.
I'm open to any convertible that's not a Miata.
DFD:
$38,000 Porsche.
Just want to highlight what has happened here.

I'd absolutely go JLU. It's top down weather there.
Ended up booking a JK Sahara $40 less per day than any JL and was available in manual two door. I can cancel so subject to change.
How many days? Since you said 500 was 70 I assume it’s two days and through Turo?
Just picked a random weekend in Key West in January and Hertz has a Wrongler for $150.
Fuckus is $96 and V8 Conv (GT/SS) is $225 in total.

I'll check out regular rentals too. I just normally find the agencies are
, I hate car rental companies. I've had far better experiences going through Turo. It's three full days.

in DFD's defense, the original discussion was that a Boxster would be a good alternative for < $12K. S2000 would be another. If you'd prefer a Z3, that's cool, but it's nice to know what's out there?

Some people just want what they want, the
be damned.
I can't wait for the peanut gallery to
when I inevitably buy another R53.
Z3 is a sweet car. So is a 911, so is a Boxster. It's great we live in a world with so many choices.

We normally take a line of pre-owned cars and park them on the grass on Saturdays to free up space for customer parking...
when it's warm and dry.
It's been cold and very wet lately, so everything's slick as snot. The lot attendant (the older man seen mopping the mud off the front of the building), who I usually give a lot of credit to for being clear headed and the most sensible person in this place... must have been on
autopilot this morning. Pulled onto the grass and I'd imagine about shit himself when he went to turn and the car kept going straight towards the building.

I'm pretty much set on the Z3, but I don't fit great.
I'll look at a Boxster, but I'm not really in love with the 986.
Slk is also on the radar.
