Yup.

Still waiting to hear back from :dillerman: "Ted".
He gave me an "OTD" price yesterday but I asked for a breakdown to make sure he's starting from the "internet sale price" their internet monkey gave me on Saturday, which
Ted gave me the "gosh, I can't see how she came up with that price" :bs: so I emailed her quote to him. But I'm not able to deconstruct his OTD price and get back to Sandy's original quote.
A bunch of :notsure: :bs: . I hate buying cars.
How the fuck is every :dillerman: even across state lines doing this very :rage: inducing shit. That’s exactly what the local VW dealershit did to me, for which they received the #1 rated 1 star yelp review, which followed with 3 requests from the general manager for me to take it down and earn my business. I ended up going to another dealershit and beating their “I don’t know what happened” price.

You know what assholes, treat me like shit and get treated like shit in return.
Feels.
The first email I got from Sandy hoped to make this a "world class experience". :yeahok:

I straight up told Ted I don't want to deal with any BS. I wanted him to trust me and I needed to trust him. I wanted to get a real, detailed final OTD price including EVERYTHING before we come in and finalize the purchase. He assured me that we were on the same page. :csb:
We'll see if/when I hear back from him. He's off today so probably not until tomorrow earliest.
Problem is, this is the only car in the spec and color that :tits: likes within a couple hundred miles of us. :rage:

My Mrs is one of the 5 :tits: left in Murica who want a mid size sedan. :mindblown: No CUV, no small car. So no Shitvic or Shitrolla, etc.
Shitvic is pretty big ? I personally think sedans got way too big.
Fun fact time. An Accord is 1" longer than a Subaru Outback.

The “midsize” sedans went :fullretard: they are enormous. 190” + is insanity. They used to be 175/180 which is now the “compact” segment.

The VW dealer tried being real reluctant with giving me a breakdown of the price. I found $700 worth of bullshit that they tried tacking on in fees.

I just gave them hard deadlines for answers and told them if they didn't meet the deadline, then they can shove the deal and the car right up their asses.

My WRX is a great size. Back seat is huge. Trunk is huge. 180" long ish. I like my trunk.

I think the Accords look awesome. 2.0T / 10AT should be a pretty great combo. I bet even the 1.5T / CVT is a good combo as well, it's not an overly heavy car. There are a bunch in my neighborhood, most have pretty gnarly parking rubs because they're so big you really gotta wedge them in. FWD though :disgust:

So sticker price is $28,915
Price on their website is $24841 so $4074 or ~ 15% off
Sandy's "internet sale price" was $22,995, another $1846 off web price and $5920 off sticker price. :notbad:
Ted's "OTD" price yesterday was $25,491 after his :bs: about not knowing "what Sandy was thinking".

Title and license xfer fees in Illinois are 95+101=$196
Doc rape is $180
Sales tax where I live is $7.5%

I can't make the :math: work:

22995 x 1.075 + 95 + 101 + 180 = $25,096. Where does the extra $395 come from?
Nearest I can tell is he's starting with $23,363 x 1.075 + 95 + 101 + 180 = 25491
What fees/extras am I missing?

Also, Sandy, for :science:

WRX is in fact a great size it was near identical to my 3 series(s). Perfect size for 4 people IMO. Anything bigger is just bigger for the sake of being bigger... New camrys are frankly enormous, as are accords. They work well for things like Uber since the back seat space is just nuts. But on the flip side that added size adds, quite a bit of weight, makes em harder to park and maneuver and it takes out the fun... which is what that particular compromise is for... no one cares about how a camry drives, period.

This is why I want a detailed breakdown before I go in. Barring any :math" errors on my part, there seems to be ~$395 of bloat I can't account for. will happen in their dillershit if I go in there and this isn't resolved.

Thanks for everyone's input. Keep it coming. I want to make this as easy as possible for me prior to going in there with checkbook and :knot: open.
Any tips/right things to say or ask for that I haven't done yet? I haven't actually bought that many new cars and the last time I did was 9 years ago

I would say :whocares: if the OTD price is good, but I got burned on my Civic :dill: that way... we agreed on OTD then when they delivered the car to make the deal, they hadn't included tax in OTD. :disgust:

I wish they had, after driving the Si this weekend, it's more fun than the Beemah. The tech is very annoying though.

If you buy it on a Saturday you're 150% more likely to come across a BBQ cookout with hot dogs, hamburgers, sodas, and you'll probably be able to take a balloon home.

:wat: Si did you drive this weekend? I must have missed something.

I wouldn't put up with that shit either. If you can't make 99% of the numbers work over email / phone in 2019 then I have no interest in stepping inside the place. The 1% is the trade in value number, but you can get in the ballpark on it.

See, that's the thing. Just how OTD is his OTD price? That's why I want to see the breakdown. He pointedly ignored my question when I spoke to him on the phone about whether delivery was included in that internet sale price. I don't want to drive out there and find out the OTD price still has some rapeage that needs to be added in.
Why does this process have to be so :disgust: ?
