I like those Buick wagon things to, but they don't seem to sell well at all, I think I've only seen one. Tough to make a Buick comeback in the US.

That's a really great price, literally undercuts every CUV basically and looks good doing it.CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2019 8:33 pmI think they $10k off sticker recently

I try to steer the boat more then I should, basically safety and reliability need to be decent, and budget to some extent... but i feel like those are family matters so that's my excuse.

Thing is, mine has ZERO idea of what's out there or what's available so she looks to me to suggest ones to look at. All she knows is she does not want any sort of SUV or CUV. She wants a nice traditional midsize 4 door sedan.
I suggested the following:
Malibu - nope, hates the name
Buick Regal sedan and wagon - nope, the dealerships we went to didn't have any inside the showroom for her to look at.
Mazda6 - nope, hated the new grill and didn't like the interior (!)
Anything FCA was automatically out because she drove a shitty Dodge something 30 years ago
Kia Optima - this remains a slight possiblity
Finally seem to have settled on a Hyundai Sonata which is absolutely packed with content for a reasonable amount of doll hairs.
It's been a experience all around.

Plus, we have 100% combined our finances so there really is no "her" and "my" money so I feel I have a tiny bit of say, though the ultimate choice will be hers. I just steered her to what I can stomach being seen in every now and then. Thus no Nissans, Fusions, Camry's, etc. And yes, I know Camry's are much improved. I still have my dignity.

Its a smartly built car that has a decent drivetrain and suspension and is built in the USA.
