My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.
I’d go 991. It’s a lot nicer. Supposedly the 997 is maybe a bit more involving, mainly due to steering. But they’re both 911s it’s not like one of them is going to exactly suck.

I'd have to drive both to decide, TBH.
My biggest thing is how dated early infotainment systems and screens look now. Check out the pixelated dash on the 991 and that ancient navi screen that looks the same as the 997. I think the interior of the 997 is a bit more timeless.

I think there's title washing going on with that 997. Sold new and spent it's entire life in Canada. A few months after being sold, it gets in a crash that requires $16k CAD to fix. Then it lives in Canada until June of this year when it gets registered in Ohio and sold directly to a in Meatchicken down the street from me.
Loads of but it does look clean AF

997 era porsche "infotainment" is hilariously bad. I'd rip that out and go with an Alpine deck or something.

Totally. But at least the gauge cluster doesn't have an ancient screen that can't be replaced...

I'd go 997 because its better looking. Those ramz are . But, like, that's just my opinion man. Mostly though I'd go Carrera S over Carrera because I like the big ass.

Why do you hate yourself?
I think it's because I'm dead inside and hate is the only emotion that makes me feel alive anymore?

But you’re leasing the money ain’t tied up yo
I'm looking to get out of the lease game this year. My lease is tied to my employer, which I'm actively looking to get away from. I hate the idea of getting new employment and being forced into a new vehicle quickly because my current one can't come with me.

How much time will you have to get rid of it ?
What? Terminate employment, lease is done immediately. End of story.

Well I guess 2 weeks notice? Seems fine you can always turo or rent. Not like you will die in the streets without a car. All I’m saying is ride that lease while you can

Oh for sure...I'm riding my current lease until they force me to order a new vehicle and restart the clock. Which should be around October. Just thinking ahead.
Also, 2 weeks notice isn't a thing in the auto industry if going to a competitor or supplier (my most likely outcome)
