Ah. Still seems high, but Tacos are gonna Taco.
I've been loosely keeping an eye out for :manuel: ones and this is the first I've seen in a neat color under 3 years old with reasonable mileage under $39k

The :manuel: ones are of the :unicorn: flavor. I managed to have a new one show up locally a few years ago. I took it out and was not impressed with it. I much preferred the Frontier.

I've never been a big fan of the Tacoma, but the residual can't be ignored. I'd only buy one if I was planning a short term ownershit.

I am curious what this will go for... it is fairly nice and one owner/stock but pretty high miles. I love that, no reason not to just drive it another 100K.

I have huge respect for anyone who will put 84,800 miles on a Lotus. Especially since it's 1 owner car.

Yeah I saw my friend who had an Evora 400 over the weekend and he said it was honestly a POS. great driving car, but built a bit worse than you actually expect.

Lotus is a small manufacturer, you don't buy one to stroke the dashboard, you buy one to drive it. They really aren't great outside of 10/10 hooning for sure.

Something about the radio not always working, and then his biggest complaint was the door filling up with water when it rained.

He said the limits were also too high to have fun in the canyons with his friends. They couldn't keep up unless he was doing 4/10ths etc. He said he enjoyed wrestling his cammed Chevy SS much more.

If it were mine, I'd probably learn to live with the radio thing but water pooling? :wtf:

Not really just pooling but actually filling the inside of the door. I'm sure both are fixable, and not every car has those problems but he wasn't really in love with it enough to have it all taken care of.

I was watching this as it closed out and almost put a bid in on it, although :tits: would've been unimpressed :lolol:

It ended at $34K and didn't meet reserve. :iono: I'm hoping the market is softening.

Based on your friend's feedback part of me wonders if I would enjoy an Elise more. There is nothing to break/rattle in the interior, just simple driving joy and without the huge limits as well.

Having been to Lotus in Hethel to do their track day course and factory tour, I'm not really surprised to hear that there are quality issues. Honestly calling it a factory is a bit of a stretch....

Man, a buddy of mine had an Elise, an 05 IIRC, and that thing was a rattle trap. What few interior panels it had managed to rattle over every little bump. That thing blew on normal roads, but was sublime on the track and auto-x.

Cayman is certainly a far better street car and still amazing to drive, but the Elise is certainly next level from a driving perspective. I think the Evora is right in between the two, hence the want, but I've never driven one.

Here's a cool car for sale in PA:

sibanez;2655860 wrote:Year: 2011

Transmission: 6 speed manual
VIN: WBAUP9C51BVF46482
Color: Alpine White (Ext), Dakota black interior with Piano black trims
Factory Options: Sport Package, Xenon, heated manual seats
Current mileage: 128940 miles
Title: Clean title on hand
High-res Photos: https://adobe.ly/2XiiuTJ

It's 2011 with 128K miles, up-to-date with maintenance and has most of what you want to have fun in STX or TT, minus a LSD and headers. Car makes 213.8TQ and 219HP on a Mustang dyno with the factory headers, would probably see 15hp+ with AA headers.

Looking for $9,500. It's a slicktop, no rust, no accidents and is a blast on course and kind enough to drive as much as you want.

If you are interested, feel free to text me at 717-315-7389.

Suspension:
- Redshift coilovers with 440/660 springs. Chris Sheffield valved these for STX and they are amazing. On the softer settings, the car feels like a new M2 and they get better as you turn the knobs. These have less than 2K miles on them and 7 events.
- John Vitamvas custom offset control bushings and M3 front control arms. This setup is STX legal and provides about -1 of additional camber.
- M3 thrust arms
- The car can easily see -4.5 of front camber. Currently set at -3.7.
- Whiteline rear subframe bushing inserts
- Two aftermarket rear sway bars (H&R 20mm and Eibach 15mm, plus the factory RSB)
- H&R 27mm FSB
- 1M strut mount braces (100k miles)

Wheels/Tires
- Tirerack C4 17x9 with 245/40R17 Falken RT660s (62 runs)
- Sparco 17x7.5 with 225/45R17 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 A/S (8/32nd)

Engine/Exhaust
- SuperSprint Section 1, 2 and 135i muffler (80k miles)
- AFE intake
- Custom dyno tune by Kassell Performance in York, PA

Maintenance
- Plugs (125k miles)
- Coils (70k miles)
- Diff, transmission fluid changed (125k miles)
- Tensioner, idler pulley, drive belt (70k miles)
- Cleaned VANOS solenoids / MAF sensors (125k miles)
- Brake overhaul, calipers replaced with rebuilt 328i aluminum calipers front & back (70k miles)
- Oil filter housing gasket using the latest OE gasket along with coolant flush (100k miles)
- TPMS module delete (Module failure) + coded out TPMS (100k miles)
- Meyle HD Inner + Outer tie rods and alignment (105k miles)
- Front ABS sensors (120K)

That is a :neat: time capsule! Looking at those pics made me miss mine a bit. I don't know why I care as I don't even drive, but I do already pine for another sports car TBH.
