NFW Would I buy an auto 911. Need the engagement that only a can offer.
Turbros seem to be going back up in value, along with 4S. The rest seem to be pretty attainable still.
The 4S gets you but even the narrow bodies have curves. Hint, you can fit a 285 up front with some massaging.
I’d be perfectly happy with a base C2.
:manual: all the way on it too.
This is what I'm keeping an eye out for. A base C2 in an actual color for under $20k has me intrigued.

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.

They’re out there. Mileage shouldn’t be a massive concern for you, so something will pop up sooner or later.
I'm not the type that cares about mileage if it's been well cared for mechanically. I don't even care if it's a bit banged up cosmetically.
I haven't been looking much at all because I just don't have a ton of desire for another car to sit around. Detroit blows.

If I had a garage I'd buy a 99 base car and put some good parts on it, NFG about appreciation. They're cheap enough that you can just drive the thing and enjoy it.

99 base car with the taco wing aero kit is my attainable dream car. If I ever get a garage.

I don't even care about the wang or the exterior color. Give me and not black inside and I'll fix the rest.
I am even OK with black exterior if it's tan inside. That's classic 911 IMO.

In4some people get 996 cars to see if they are shitboxes or not.
I sort of covet a 997 more. I always become scared of the costs of keeping up a Porsche. It is kind of a perfect car for me though, better daily than a C5 but still kind of does the same things.
A CTS-V came with the LS6 standard a few years later and can be had for low-to-mid teens. This thing makes absolutely zero sense and will sell for a fortune because BAT.

I should have bought a 996 years ago. I didn't because of the IMS thing, and being an only car, chance of catastrophic engine failure wasn't really my thing.
Cool cars. Sound great. I don't have experience driving one, but the 997 C2S was pretty rad, so I imagine a 996 C2 would be fun as well.
