Interesting choice with the brown interior, but has wang and fancy suspension, and the black trim. Not a fan of the but that can be addresses via aftermarket. +1 for an 18+ (facelift looks better IMO)

It's in-line are a bit below were most similarly 18+ are. Handling package seems to be the only option that props up the price vs. one with out, but with all other options being the same.

There's almost always 1 option combo on these things, and the ones that have all of the options I'd pick sell pretty quickly.
I'd be down worth it if they paint were metallic. Maybe it would grow on ya?
I've seen enough with the dinamica, perf leather, or Recarbros to keep looking. Not quite in a position to pull a the trigger yet either - mostly window shopping and price monitoring.

seems to be a bit more expensive or at least less common than the DCT, though oddly AFAIK the DCT has proven to be pretty reliable.
Iirc the DCT has better gearing. Shame cars are geared so long now.
1. Find depreciated M3 in good condition.
2. Add 5 grand to outlay
3. Take to these guys or similar. Right down the road in the OC. https://www.langracing.com/bmw-e90-e92- ... n-service/
4. Have a pretty bad ass car that will likely appreciate if history is any guide for 25 grand or so?
There are worse plans.

Yes it's a cool car. But prepare the lube/sawdust.

If you plan to garage the car and only drive it a little then that's a decent plan. If you would use it as a DD like I would prefer, the running costs are still huge. 15 mpg on premium and all other consumables are expensive too, plus probably rod bearings every 75k or so.
I'll likely get a C6 coupe instead if I ever decide to get another 400 hp V8 front engine car. Clear targa > carbon roof.
If you're going to suffer BMW maintenance, get the V10 M5/M6 IMO. Same issues as the V8 but it's a V10.

Older M3 vehicles are not DD worthy. They depreciate like rocks, and require extremely expensive upkeep. M3 maintenance prices approach ferrari levels in some cases. Which is
But if you confine it to 5-8k miles a year a lot of enjoyment can be had for "reasonable" sums of money as the cars are essentially depreciation free if they are 2gens or older.
