2020 Supra-Why I think it is half assed.

Well... it's a lot smaller, I'm sure all the piping and stuff is totally different. It sounds like my car with my BROla... I would've hoped for something... better.

Yea makes sense. But 4 bangers generally sound like garbage no changing it ... ain’t no G8 pulling side shows. It sort of sounded like cold start though, so I’d expect it to be far quieter ..
Turbo fours don't sound good usually, true. Abarf
I miss the days of the VTEC Honderps, they actually sounded good. Miatas don't sound half bad. Naturally aspirate

I am on this thing still...
https://stockton.craigslist.org/ctd/d/a ... 72205.html Supra at 1/2 off.
but I'd need to drive both. I really hope the SUpra drives better than BMWs...max225 wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2020 5:36 pmI am on this thing still...

I wouldn't hold my breath, it is the same car. Hell that supra has the same engine as your BMW... and probably shares many other components as well. It doesn't weigh less than your car either.D Griff wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2020 5:38 pmbut I'd need to drive both. 228i is perhaps what I should have bought. $3k or whatever for an LSD is
I've thought about all of that, but it's also a completely different chassis. I'd love to try one out. It also looks amazing. The 228i looks... fine. IMO my car actually looks better than the (non M) 2 series.

I would agree, I don't like any 2 series other than the m2. They look too "narrow" for lack of a better description.
I feel like there are just so many other cars I'd rather have than a 4 banger "supra" for 45k
True, I won't be rushing out to buy one, but I still like it.
With a at $40K I think it would be rather compelling. Not much else competing there in that price range. They are rare enough and exotic looking enough that it would be a pretty cool car to cruise around in, not a dime a dozen like Mustangs, Camaros, Corvettes, 2/3 series.

Agreed on rarity, these are rare AF, I have yet not seen one in person. And we see everything here.
I have seen a few, maybe one/month.max225 wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2020 5:55 pmD Griff wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2020 5:50 pm

They are probably so rare because they're $60K and many of your points are valid.

Apparently the base price is $42990 on the 4 cylinder Supra.

Yea no. I mean it’s kind of an interesting compare to a brz. Is the turbo worth 10k ?troyguitar wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2020 6:09 pm Apparently the base price is $42990 on the 4 cylinder Supra.
Hmmm kind of not a terrible value prob considering it costs probably 5k-8k to fuck a warranty and do it yourself

The 2 series non M is a homely car. There is no escaping that fact. Ugliest BMW contest contestant without question.
Yeah, that's a no from me, dog. I'm just destined to be a cheapass and not a new car buyertroyguitar wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2020 6:09 pm Apparently the base price is $42990 on the 4 cylinder Supra.
$43K I'm rolling in one of only a few things - Evora, Cayman, 911, NSX, maaayyyybbeeee a Corvette but probably not.

I know that it's even more money, but if I'm blowing $43k+ on a new sports car then I'm going to stretch for a base Cayman. Plus it comes with
