The Morimoto XB LED foglights I love so dearly apparently don't play nice with the 2017+ trucks, so I wasn't able to do those like I wanted to. I'd like a set of the DD SLF bulbs but they're currently on a 6-8 week backorder. I'm going to give these a shot: https://headlightrevolution.com/gtr-lig ... led-bulbs/
Seems like a solid upgrade. Do they play nicely as DRLs too?
Really curious to hear about these. I'm mixed on the 2 Strokes I have. LEDs just don't seem to be up to HIDz yet.

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.
Just thinking it's a lot of low gear, higher ish RPM, low speed and thus low airflow driving. Plus humidity in the woods is typically a lot higher than elsewhere.
Moran OEM engineers beat the hell out of these trucks in validation. Stock cooling is fine.
It's not bad in the woods on trails...but if you do extended sand/mud stuff...high RPM low airflow, it can creep up.
It's when you start adding under body protection or blocking stuff in the front that cooling becomes an issue. Front receiver mounts, light bars, etc can significantly impact the effectiveness of the stock trans cooler.
Sweet, my city boy fancy truk without all that hooplah should be fine.

I'm a fucking failure.
Yeah the STI's fog lights blow. Hoping they help. Install seems a bit odd on them, I guess I need to take the under trays off for access which is why I haven't done it yet. Probably should have just bought LED bulbs PepBoys style and plugged em in NFG.
try finding access in the wheelwell behind it. Atleast it'll be cake compared to the GTI's
Nephew of a a few first gen immigrant on DFD, resident turk, and ex nazi egg lover now driving a middle class mom mobile.
Really curious to hear driving impressions. I might pick up a set for my truck and move the 2 Strokes to the hi beams.
Do these fit under the stock dust caps? I had to modify mine for the 2 Strokes.

100% fitment. No issues putting the caps back on whatsoever.
Also, the high beams are 9005s - different bulb.
Nice. Love not modifying the dust caps.
So, the 2 Strokes are universal bulbs with an adapter for whatever fitment. TRS sells the adapters separately, so I figured I could just buy 9005 adapters and run them in the highs. Maybe not...

I still haven't seen a ZR2 in person. Not sure how I feel about the bumper. Lot of plastic from the pictures. I'd probably install a metal one But yes it's a good looking truck overall.

The thing about the plastic is how out of the way it all is. My bumper is perfect even after all the wheeling because there's no vulnerable spots. By cutting out the wheels, and shaping up for max approach angle, you pretty much have to aim to hit something to screw it up.
And black plastic can be replaced cheaply and easily vs. a painted bumper. I guess steel is easier to repair (repaint), but I've yet to see a good looking one.

No I get it, I just think it looks strange is all.
Wifey is on-board with me swapping the OEM fogs for a set of the Baja Designs Squadron-R Sports. Them being a full bolt-on install with no splicing and using the OEM switch is a nice touch.
Debating on if I want to go with the amber/yellow ones or the regular clear ones. I would be going with the driving/combo version either way.

I'm going with the Morimoto XBs - working with Headlight Revolution to see if we can find a reason for any incompatibilities.
We can compare back to back once we have them installed.
Can you do some photo-wizardry and make my fogs yellow? I think it should look good.
