Finally drove a Tacoma. No thank you. Dead pedal is enormous and right in the way. No height adjustment on the driver seat and my knees were constantly in the bottom of the steering column.
The position I would have to sit for the car seats to work isn't doable.

So I think it's going to be a Canyon unless I go and get a ZR2.
Need to do more research on the trim levels. Basically all I want are heated seats and nav, even though I'll use Android auto most of the time.
To me it sounds like the most interesting DD aspect of the ZR2 is the fancy multivalve shocks that produce a cadillac ride without throwing handling on a lifted truck out the window. It looks cool and is an offroad brotruck and all that, but depending on your commute the soft ride might offer you a rational basis for spending more. Just saying.

Yes it's a cool car. But prepare the lube/sawdust.

It's actually not a Cadillac ride quality. It's rather firm on the street, which makes it feel dangerously close to sporty for a truck. Minimal body roll, and it doesn't wallow about over uneven pavement and bumps. Impact harshness over bumps doesn't exist and offroad, you can go way faster than you should be able to.
It's really quite an experience. You'll never drive a bro truck that rides so good.

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.

IIRC said his donkey cart suspension JLU rides better than the flatbrim-spec ZR2?
Yep, and I believe it. An SUV that's designed to carry and tow very little can be designed to ride great. Make the thing capable of hauling 1,100 lbs payload and towing 7k lbs and report back.

Makes sense. The F150s we have ride like dump trucks but throw a pallet of shit in the back and they're cadillacs.
