Clearly I am :wrong: but easily more than half of the rigs on the trail yesterday were either JKs or JLs on big tires and covered in dirt.

A JK with half-doors would be so awesome.

Clearly they missed the mall memo and no one wheels those. :disgust:

Half doors are epic for toys, but a massive PITA to live with daily. I loved and hated the half doors on my JK.

A 2-door JK with half doors would be an awesome toy IMO...but the JL is so much more livable. Could easily be an all-arounder.

After yesterday’s adventure, I totally get how useful no-doors/half-doors are. They must make spotting rocks and tire placement way easier.
And absolutely agree, half-doors for the weekend/trails :fuckyeah: but full doors for the daily grind.

Well what else would they be? Jeep has been selling 200k annually for a decade.

This is actually my first Jeep with full doors. Will be interesting to see. I don't think they'll get in the way of much TBH.

I was actually thinking about half doors for mine today. Doorless life is fun, but half doors seem like a solid compromise where you get the fun, but also cut down on a bit of wind blowing in and such.

I loved the half doors on my JK...most of the time. But they're TERRIBLE full-time things with the zipper windows. Loud AF, annoying when you need to "roll" the window down, overall a massive PITA.

But with the uppers off, they were awesome. Never saw a need to take them off, and I'm not sure I ever did.

Very true.
I’ll go for some trail doors instead so they can still see in.
Thanks Dad.

I’m interested.

Serious question: what should I look at for occasional off choading with the new TuRD?

Green trails at Rausch Creek and AOAA are totally doable for the TuRD. It’s only $200 for a private guide for a group up to 5 vehicles. The parks require groups of at least 2 rigs, no one goes solo.
Plenty of trails in the pines are good too. Just watch out for the foliage. ;)

The :taco: has front recovery points, right?

Hit me up whenever, definitely down for more dirt-clowning.

Pass front, I think.
