Purchased the car in August 2017 and now have 42k miles. Been tuned since 35k with the Cobb Stage 1+ 93 octane tune and don't experience much in the way of clutch slippage.Huckleberry wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2019 8:25 amGood to hear. I haven’t burned a drop of oil or had an issue so far with the engine.
The only issue I’ve had is a bad steering rack and a lengthy back order.

Amir just explained to me the "unauthorized dealer" and how the Cobb accessport warranty gets and is basically used.
I also realized im going to hold onto my epic 6 year warranty a hair longer.

Maybe. Although it's almost twice the price of a rear H&R bar and I don't think the Mk7 needs any of the chassis rigidity stuff like the Mk6 did.
That extra bit of rotation would be nice from a rear bar but I feel like you can't just do one. You have to do the front too and then it's a slippery slope I don't want to go down.[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2019 1:37 pmI just know chasing suspension on the mk6 was a losing battle. You could definitely make it more responsive but it came with a lot of increased harshness
I'll see how the car drives sunday now that I'll have accurate tire pressure readings.

No need to do both bars, just don't get the absolute biggest rear bar.Gberg2119 wrote:That extra bit of rotation would be nice from a rear bar but I feel like you can't just do one. Stock R bars are 24mm front and 21.7mm rear.troyguitar wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2019 2:16 pmNo need to do both bars, just don't get the absolute biggest rear bar.Gberg2119 wrote:

It appears the H&R bar is an bar at 25mm. Everyone else is either 22 or 24mm.

24-25 should be fine. Those have multiple settings too, right? Use the soft one.
I was expecting autox type bars at like 29+ mm to exist.

Some do but H&R rear bar isn't adjustable.troyguitar wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2019 2:32 pm 24-25 should be fine. Those have multiple settings too, right? Use the soft one.

I mainly wanted H&R because they promise squeak free bushings.

I wouldn't worry about 25 being too much at all. That's probably perfect for a fun DD.

For those Mk4 fans, I ran across this guy on one of my walks yesterday.
In case anyone wondered what a Mk4 loos like with Huff's.
Excuse the shitty pic. I recently broke the glass in front of the lens.

Well, that's a shame: https://www.autonews.com/dealers/vw-adj ... -money-ads
Looks like dealers were complaining that nobody was buying their bullshit extended warranties anymore.

That it is. The 6 year warranty was quite literally the only reason to consider purchasing an Atlas.Huckleberry wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 9:53 am Well, that's a shame: https://www.autonews.com/dealers/vw-adj ... -money-ads

I don’t see a warranty being that much of a purchase consideration. Almost any dealer is offering something to 100k with every purchase. Yea it costs something but we’re talking 2500-3000 tops
