I'd venture to guess that it was a low battery power issue.Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2019 10:41 am My threw a Christmas tree this morning. Abs/tcs/airbags.

It did apply to Audi's as well.
Yes, preventative repairs were covered. That's what mine was. I got 100% back.

2011 Q5 is covered. I don't remember exactly as it was in the claim form.
Looks like the deadline passed but it might be worth a shot to submit one.

It's about time to replace the battery.

My case got denied. I replaced the tensioner preventatively on my 2011 when my warranty expired at 5 years, but I guess because it didn't fail my case didn't meet the requirements of the settlement. Cost me a good $1,000 for parts and labor at an indy shop.
Maybe because of the warranty expiring. My 2011 had an oil leak from the timing case which is why I had it replaced preventatively.coogles wrote:My case got denied. and over 500k of them are Jetta's. Although it does says cars that are equipped with keyless entry, but does that include with push to start cars as the article claims that the key can come out of the ignition.razr390 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2019 4:01 pm VW recalls 679,000 cars for rollaway risk

Tinted the windows on Thursday because my vendor did it for $100.
Today was tune up day. It's been feeling a bit sluggish on the Cobb tune, so threw in a new set of spark plugs and coils,, changed the oil again and replaced the pollen and air filters. One last tire rotation on the Indy500's for the season and I'll probably be throwing brakes on it when I put the winters on.
Trying to find a set of StopTech slotted rotors that fit the Performance Package brakes. The OE rotors rust like crazy especially around the hat, especially on the rears.

Much of my braking is done at higher speeds and a slotted rotor should help control the glazing/rust buildup issues I have with the OE brakes at the expense of a slight increase in pad wear from the edges. Given I’m at 45k miles and 4/32” of remaining pad life, it’s a trade off I’m ok with.[user not found] wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 10:31 pmWhy slotted?fledonfoot wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 10:00 pm Tinted the windows on Thursday because my vendor did it for $100.

Though if I can find a set of Brembo blanks I’ll probably just grab those and paint the hats before I install.

Don't they still make centric blanks with painted hats? I used those on my old cars.fledonfoot wrote:Much of my braking is done at higher speeds and a slotted rotor should help control the glazing/rust buildup issues I have with the OE brakes at the expense of a slight increase in pad wear from the edges. In for what you go with. I considered painting hats. The rust is pretty bad. I just hit 13k miles.fledonfoot wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 10:00 pm Tinted the windows on Thursday because my vendor did it for $100.

They do, but not for the 340mm PP/R brakes in the front.troyguitar wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 10:59 pmDon't they still make centric blanks with painted hats? I used those on my old cars.fledonfoot wrote:

ECS carries their "in house" brand. Not sure who makes them tho.fledonfoot wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2019 9:14 amThey do, but not for the 340mm PP/R brakes in the front.troyguitar wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 10:59 pm

I have their V4 plain rotors in the back and wouldn't recommend them. I put Zimmermans on the front and just like OEMs (I think maybe OEMs are Zimmermans) they started to corrode, so I went with the ECS rotors in the rear and they don't seem to run quite true. I've had some slight pulsing in the brake pedal ever since I installed them, at least if I'm using more than say ~1/3 of brake pressure.dubshow wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2019 9:57 am ECS carries their "in house" brand. I would recommend the Textar pads, though. A bit more bite than OEM, but super quiet and relatively low dust in comparison. Definitely a good street option.

Awesome. I couldn't find these listed, and a part number search on RockAuto pulls them up for $72 each front and $42 rear.Gberg2119 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2019 9:37 amThey have centric blanks for the front.fledonfoot wrote:
