They switched to "electric assist" in that year + the wheel is square + it had buick levels of feedback. It was really terrible. Worst part about the car. I thought handling was fine, and engine and trans were great. It slots right inbetween M3 and 330i... as the price would suggest. 340i is a more complicated comparison, engine/trans is a bit more powerful and efficient in that vehicle, but handling is probably a bit worse thanks to 225 shit tires.

Really wish the Crosstrek had a motor. I'd really just give up and get that. CVT too.

I agree with this... I'd say don'tJohnny_P wrote:Crang's dealer installed his tune. They also denied coverage because it was tuned.
Take it how it is. Tune it and you're SOL when it comes to a major engine issue.
Or be smart about it and add 50 hp with a piggyback that you can peel off anytime

Not that bad on light colored Gorfs, and they look better in person. Here you still get prets and pay extra for these Spielbergs. Something like a $130 up charge. I don't know why they come standard in the US doeDesertbreh wrote:Those new ramz though, they are as heinous as their predecessors were beautiful. They bought it new in 1998. Put a couple grand into it around 2008-2009, and it ran like a champ the whole time. And the AC and every single electronic accessory still worked. It needed brakes but
Absolutely awful to drive by virtually every enthusiast measure, but from a reliability and durability standpoint.

No. But I haven't driven any of the others either so it works itself out...max225 wrote: ↑Fri May 25, 2018 1:20 pmhave you driven an S4? 13+ models had some of the worst steering "feel" i have ever experienced. It was plain My golf was worlds better.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Fri May 25, 2018 12:32 pm
340i is German doe
S4 is about as reliable as a used German sports automobile will get. Even then you're dealing with common issues like water pumps, carbon buildup, coil packs, etc. 340i will have VANOS because BMW, water pumps, suspension bushings and stuff like that. 340i will also have absolutely zero steering feel.
But that is why I like bouncing cars off you guys. I can narrow it down before it's time to buy.
