Taking my GTI for it's 2nd DSG service this friday and it's 100 miles away past Baltimore since that's the place I can book my car the soonest. Quoted $360 including labor

I really liked my DSG but they can eff off with $360 oil changes.
I never bothered to look into it, but is the oil super expensive or is it mostly labor?

Its about $120 of parts/fluid and about 1.5 hours of labor.

including labor. Also on my first one, I got charged just over a grand at Rosenthal VW in Fairfax where I originally got it from, walked away and drove to Stohlman in Tysons, they quoted me $540 iirc literally half the price. All the other shops are either booked for 3 weeks or haven't heard from them. So I had to settle a long ass drive for it.

NHTSA has opened an investigation into the 2019 manual MQB cars stalling. Enough of these must have popped up that it isn't .

VW seems to be quick to buy them back, so whatevs.
they are buying them back?
From what I've seen. Initially, they were trying to fix them, but it seems lately they are just buying them back without dicking around too much with attempted repairs.

Interesting. im out the loop on this one. I dont see how a can just die unless there is some bad "auto start" feature mix up. Fuck auto starts in general, I finally saw my first autostart car not instantly fire back up and was stalled out with a panicking owner. Great idea in theory but as soon as them parts have some wear.. good luck...

Mine doesn't have any stop-start feature. Since this issue only seems to affect manual cars, I'm going to guess it is a programming issue or a wiring harness issue and would start with anything that pertains solely to the manual cars.
But I'm not being paid by VW to diagnose it and if mine acts up, I fully intend to drop it off at the dealer and tell them their shit is broke.
Aar is at the shop for an oil change and it pooped out a check engine light and a fuel tank system error. Extended warranty covering me where the factory warranty left off. It is my first extended warranty claim so I'm curious to see how it unravels.
Arteon loaner in a metallic mustard yellow is a fun change. The wheel base being so long is kind of good and bad. Overall I give it a 4/7

yeah, i really like that color on those.. To much for me personally.
Same here, I may go with a different manufacturer next buy..
The Arteon is a nice place to be, illumination and dash is very audi, cooled seats, heated steering, sport mode (is meh but stiffens the steering), disgust start stop, nicely toned to give a low throttle input to get the beast moving, suspension is good and soaked up an accidental 30mph speed bump pass over, wheels are too big, it's kind of power IMO.. the paint is nice if you like the color, it looks like the poop yellow that M3 came in not long ago.

Arteon goes back this morning, my car awaits a sensor and I want a cheaper loaner so it is my first stop.
Extended warranty is covering the new sensor, wasn't a short after all, part should be in on Montag
You want a cheaper loaner as in they’re making you pay for the loaner? Lol
