The insurance company has cleared the damages and upon inspection, my local VW dealer informed me that the engine has no internal issues (contrary to what most people speculated)

Look up JB4 piggyback tune and keep your warranty. You can do multiple maps, can control meth, and later can be stacked on a flash tune. All the kewl kids aredubshow wrote:So what tuna should I get?
Are tuna threads still a thing?

How exactly does a fwd hatch put down 300+ whp through skinny ass tires. It was barely controllable in stock trim with the 235s skinny ass tires screaming for dear life as is. The last thing the gti needs is more power

I am perfectly with the stock car. Mods = worries and for an only car/daily driver dat ain’t worth it. Especially with a 6 year 72,000 mile b2b warranty

It works for the R too. Adds like 50hp/tq and up to double that with bolt on modzzz. Basically looks like an octopus harness that fucks with factory outputs after they leave the ecu so dealers can't detect the device when they scan for tunes. The user just needs to pull it out prior to a service visit.max225 wrote:How exactly does a fwd hatch put down 300+ whp through skinny ass tires. I'm in the "it's ok to mod camp" Fiesta has remained largely stock except for wheels/tires and cat-back exhaust. Bilstein shocks are waiting to go on. I've considered a tuner, but I've been happy with the stock power delivery.
My Cummins was fairly heavily modded and my bikes have all been modded with exhaust and ECM maps/tuners.

Open diff I'd agree, my GTI was a handful from a stop at WOT. Magic diff might be different? IDK. I don't think the HP is worth losing the warranty. But that's just me. There would have to be other motives.

If I mod it would be an exhaust, Springs, and different wheel. But that’s all like $3,000 worth of stuff with installation. No thanks

exhaust is like $400 for a catback and thats like 1 hours install TOPS.
Springs $250 upfront buyt yeah, about 3 hours to install.
Wheels w/ tars? Biggest upfront cost and easiest install...
