Alfa would mean you are a true car guy. Auto would make traffic easier. Exhaust note would help you cut down on viagra.
SS is ultimately more reliable and “simpler”. My only experience with the Quadrafelatio is a guy at a trackday overheated he ECU 2 laps in.

My only experience with an Alfa was a Quadrofellatio we had traded in with 1100 miles on it.
Previous owner had it for about 8months. Prior to trading it in, it had been at a local Alfa dealer for a recurring cooling issue... for a month. Several temp sensors and an ECU were replaced. Customer drove it out and traded it in for an M3 on our lot.
It was coming due for an oil change, so we changed the oil. Only we couldn’t reset the service reminder indicator despite having access to an FCA scan tool. We sent it to a local dealer to reset the SRI for $130. They couldn’t get it to clear either, and after a week I got the car back with a new front end control unit to fix that issue.
I went to pick it up because I wanted to drive it in anger and listen to that glorious noise on the twisty back roads heading back to work. I got 8 miles from the Alfa dealer and it started displaying “active aero malfunction” on hard braking. I took a video of it, then I turned around and took it back to the dealer. Next day I got a call saying there was nothing wrong with the car and that it had no active aero, I must be mistaken.
I picked it up, and within a few miles it was acting up again, this time with a check engine light.
Dropped it off at another Alfa dealer in NJ, with the video. Two weeks later I got the car back with a new ECU and another front end control unit replaced under warranty.
On a road test with a customer, the active aero fault came back. We wholesaled the car and ran away.
Car was great to drive, sounded amazing, and looked fantastic. I’d rather M3 doe.

Holy shit. That's horrible. I don't blame the dude for trading it for an M3.fledonfoot wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 10:54 pm My only experience with an Alfa was a Quadrofellatio we had traded in with 1100 miles on it.

Then again has luck and we're a bit further into the product cycle at this point.

Gotta think all those issues have been worked out by now.

No clue, the owner normally tracked his Cayman GT4, but he just got the Alfa and wanted to give it a shake down on the track to see what it was like.

I think so, it was a pretty low VIN.[user not found] wrote: ↑Tue May 22, 2018 5:39 amSounds like an early 2017?fledonfoot wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 10:54 pm My only experience with an Alfa was a Quadrofellatio we had traded in with 1100 miles on it.

There were a few from the early build groups went through shit like this. Still fairly limited in number and a new ECU plus a software update seems to have fixed it. *Seems.*

Sounds like they were pretty horrible at first, but as you said a mass produced vehicle from a major OEM, there can't be much wrong with them at this point.
