Tesla might not be too concerned though. They have VAG buying into their battery and power delivery technology.Detroit wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 8:46 amThe luxury car market in general is only so big. Most everyone in the US who ever wanted & could afford a high-priced Model 3 now has one? Pent-up demand for luxury cars in the era of Carmageddon is a tricky thing, especially when tax credits phase out.

The comments are as 'interesting' as the article over all. Interesting debate and viewpoints on Tesla and E in general.

they will go under and nobody will have a warranty or be able to get a new bumper for their car or get it serviced anywhere Tesla is a shit company and Musk is a phony.[user not found] wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 8:53 amClassic Musk. I dunno man...for how much capital they lit on fire getting the Model 3 up to scale, they're going to need to move a shitload to make it pay off. And debt is coming due, the reaper is coming.

Then let it come. Let some major company take Tesla over. Inject more cash into it, turn out more products, etc. Tesla has achieved everything Musk wanted it to. It jump started the EV market, created EV manufacturer competition, and generated hype around EVs.

you keep telling yourself that while you live the DINK lyfe doing kitchen remodels every two years sipping through a bottle of single malt every week.
My financial peril in my eyes is real. We cant seem to go a month where we break even without literally sitting at the house and paying bills & going to work, and thats no way to live IMHO.

Most here are anti-Ford, but I like the latest gen for the most part.
My step-mom has had one for a few years (4 or 5 ?) now and the only complaint is that the battery died suddenly and she was stranded on a tight road. New battery and all is good again doe.

xc60 is on the list but i think its on the backburner because it does not have a 3rd row.[user not found] wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 9:51 am
I had a few as rentals and ALWAYS had shit going wrong with them. Overheating was common even under normal load.
FWIW we do the cross over life with kids and it's fine. A van would be world's better mainly due to deck height and space but the XC60 is still great. Even with two and a dog.
We like the third row option, esp one that does not consume the rear of the car in the down position. THe nissans seems to have this problem.

i agree its unnecessary 98% of the time, but we do like to do stuff with our other friends that have a family of three, and its nice to shove the kid(s) in the back and take one car as an option.[user not found] wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 10:00 am*Personally* I think the third row is probably unnecessary but I get the desire for one.Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 9:59 am
