A macan is just too much money for a DD appliance vehicle... they don't get much in terms of discunts and they are around 60-65 with the "standard" options that are sitting on the lots. That's a lot of money to blow on a tiny golf.

Maxs next car is as hard to guess as it is to win the lotto. One minute it's a Rubi, and the next thing you know the stock market tanks ten points and a 2015 C350 becomes the belle de jour! It's one of the more lively DFD topics. We need a powl!

The C350 would be from 2008-12. No such thing as a 2015 C350... that's the new gen which costs around 20k... The markets do dictate what I drive. Why wouldn't they? a big portion of my income is tied to them.

Old Comand interface is pretty horrific but I liked these cars overall. The V6 is big and super smooth. 7 speed is great too.

Yeah they’re MLB which is the A4/A5/Q5 chassis. It gets real AWD.

Yeah. Double wishbone front suspension not a pos mcstrut. Plus better engines but yeah bad fuel mileage because it’s a crosstrek not a low car.

I agree with this. IMO the real Bennie of the A4 chassis is the real, rear biased AWD.

my macan owned uncle told me that the awd system is from a q5.

edit: and I was right, a4, a6, q5, macan all are on MLB platform. But not right about quattro as it uses a system that leans more towards the haldex. With the performance pack of Macan S, with sport plus, 80% of the power goes to rear wheels.

BMW should bring back a kick ass version of the 318. Sporty stripped down hatch would be cool and I think would sell. Heck I think the 318s moved fairly well IIRC
