Very fair rebuttal ! Hot damn this is philosophical question! We will never know the truth!

Then again, said vehicle is designed for cargo carrying and not performance, so technically it shouldn’t be counted.

Also, i often drove my Beetle around with the back seat and front passenger seat removed. That did not make it a Formula Vee.

Also what is 'accepted' by the public/media at large as a sportscar is probably 911 etc and other coupe's, 2 seat or +2's, where the seats are not at all very useful such as a 911

We live in a timeframe where a 4 door version of a 2 door version of a 4 door family sedan is called a coupe.

I'm waiting for the 4 series Gran Coupe GT, which will be a 2 door version of the 4 door version of the 2 door version of the 4 door family sedan.

Do we really think insurance companies are DUMB enough to look at a car and say... Oh wow it has 4 seats... it must be fine.. its cheaper to insure now.

Then why are the STI's and Evos the single most expensive vehicles to insure then ?

They look at statistics.

STIs and Evos are waaaaaay more expensive than a :poorvette: to insure because the owner base of the rallymachines can't see through the vapeclouds while behind the wheel.

911 is borderline a GT car these days. Cayman/Boxster is the sports car of the Beetle lineup.
