Can't watch the video now, but how many laps was that? 10 minutes long I'm assuming 3-4? That actually sounds like $250 is a fairly cheap asking price just for that alone. You can pay $300 at Nola motorsports for like 2 decent laps and 1 shitty one (slow start, can't even hit the straight a 3rd time due to having to pit at the end).
I've raced COTA a lot on Formula 2013 on PC. Some of those turns are very interesting. The last long sweeper by the tower is definitely interesting. Gotta hit the entry at the right speed and hold it perfect to hit the apex to keep the right speed. It's definitely tricky.
I've been to COTA races about 4 or 5 times and looking at that wall at turn one is It's a fucking Uturn and you can't even see the fucking road to the left.

Yea, the STUPID VIRB of course has a corrupted gps datafile for that session....any ideas on how to fix? i struck out. the data is there i just cant load into virb edit and the other software i tried..stripethree wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2017 11:35 amI could. Not. Get. This. Right. I avoided full on frustration, but it just never felt right. Kept wanting to try it over and over. Mostly ended up on too tight a line me thinks.Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2017 11:22 am I mean though the carrousel (around the tower) is just one big turn: you point the wheel and steer the car with the throttle through a double apex corner that goes from on camber to off as the track itself falls away
5/7 write up, would read again. Race Render is crapping out at 3 mins, I think I have to pay them. As soon as I figure that out I'll have vids up with the datas.

LOLWUT. I've driven a fully prepped STR car. It had more power, but not that much more. That's what I consider "easy". That'll maybe get 10mph on a big track. Maybe. Meh.

4 hot laps total in each the 3 and the 4, so about 7-8 laps with you driving. If you want you can ride for another 7-8!Acid666 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2017 11:45 amCan't watch the video now, but how many laps was that? 10 minutes long I'm assuming 3-4? doesn't really match S2K cornering but I guess it's close on a big track. The extra size and weight are real.Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2017 11:51 amtroyguitar wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2017 11:49 am

Yaaaas. I would do terrible things for a later model V10 Plus. The ones that are within any range of non-financial ruin are V8s though. Upside: V8s are the only ones I believe came in manual. I give 0 fucks how much faster DSG shifts, I want to feel the full control of that German torques in my hands.

Everything's "easy" - just swipe that amex. Turbro S2K isn't exactly something that needs development, it's been done.stripethree wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2017 11:53 amWe have different definitions of easy, that is all.troyguitar wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2017 11:49 am I meant boost. Last autocross had a fucking McLaren and an R8. It was a father/son group. R8 Son driver looked like he was fucking 17.
My fiance was faster than him in the C5Z so he needs a little more Gran Turismo seat time.
I'm interested in an R8 too. If the C5 is the poor mans supercar, the R8 is the poor man's exotic.

Fuck magazines, I'm talking about autox where the straight line difference is as minimized as you're going to get... especially since dudebro probably does more autox than track stuff. SSM S2K vs SSM ? The little car almost always wins. Even an STR S2K is pretty close to unlimited CAM-S cars.Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2017 12:00 pmwith your C&D stats that are 20 years old.troyguitar wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2017 11:57 am

IIRC they made a handful of V10's with in certain years but they cost more than my house.
