Harley-Davidson Inc. plans to shift some production of its iconic motorcycles out of the U.S. in response to retaliatory European Union tariffs, as President Donald Trump’s trade war ripples back to American companies, Bloomberg News reports

Each motorcycle will cost an average of $2,200 extra after the European Union raised its tariff on imported U.S. bikes to 31 percent from 6 percent on June 22, the Milwaukee-based manufacturer said Monday in a regulatory filing. That’s expected to add up to a burden of $90 million to $100 million annually, which Harley-Davidson will absorb rather than pass extra costs on to customers.
Making stupid self-defeating trade policy great again.

Great should never be in a sentence about a business man who only knows bankruptcy as success and collects a pension from work in Hollywood LOL. Any good CEO will ignore 'advice' from this idiot who happens to live in DC.

Could you consider getting a new engine Thruxton and NOT think about getting the R variant. I mean, hell, fully adjustable suspension and looking so sexy.

:megusta:

Why do I want that...

The Thruxton is pretty, but there’s a lot more capable bikes out there for that kinda coin (or less).

Why does everyone want an arm and a leg for the sunburst orange street glides? Is there an upcharge from the factory?

I think is was only available for a few model years, thus making it "rare"

Also a new Street Glide starts at $20,999 :wtf:

At least for this year, the only orange one is a CVO.

Back in March I was in Tennessee and seriously considered buying the Legend Blue Denim Street Glide Special. The legend blue denim is only on the 115 year anniversary bikes and they are all numbered limited editions. That color looks amazing in person. It also looks incredible on the FatBoy with the satin finished metal instead of chrome.

As much as I would love a new street glide. And especially a CVO. I can’t justify the cost. I’m looking for a 2010 103ci.

Yeah it would be a beautiful bike. I’d feel bad modifying it though. But I refuse to keep it stock.
