my only input on that is this: The older i get it seems the less i enjoy working on shit. I am a driver / rider and turning wrenches is a means to an end to keep the hobbies' costs in check.4zilch wrote: ↑Fri Sep 21, 2018 5:39 pmTrack and street. interesting. What would you do with it? would it see the track a lot?
Im a fan of the electronic nannies on a street bike, but I also like cool shit
My main concern is that I’m not sure a 30 year old bike is a good decision as a primary bike. #oldbikeproblems Conversely it’s half the price of the Ape and leaves a bit more room for a roadster acquisition.
I think with an old thing, you better like to work on it on at least some level.

I have similar feels, but issues on these things tend to be fairly minor. Carb cleaning at times, though easily preventable with preventive maintenance. Electrical gremlins can sometimes arise, which I actually don't mind chasing down - particularly on an electrical system as basic as these.

New Indian street tracker looks great. Pretty decent performance on paper too.

If I were in the market for a bike this style Indian would have my money.
I guess they got the pricing ok at $15k. Seems right inline with their competition.
The 1200 monster is ~$18k

Maybe it will be a a viable thing. Everyone has a cool new naked bike now.

In-line yes, but performance/dollar falls a little short.dubshow wrote: ↑Tue Oct 02, 2018 9:50 am I guess they got the pricing ok at $15k. Seems right inline with their competition.

Non-premium suspension, lack of adjustable electronics, lack of adjustable suspension on the non-S, fixed rotors. I think it'd be a home run at the 10-12k price point.

well I would be for saying the same. Im glad you came out and said it. Its expensive for the lack of refinement in the market today.4zilch wrote: ↑Tue Oct 02, 2018 10:46 amIn-line yes, but performance/dollar falls a little short.dubshow wrote: ↑Tue Oct 02, 2018 9:50 am I guess they got the pricing ok at $15k. I love the look of both. But the MT-10 has a few functions Ducati doesnt. Plus the bike is several thousand cheaper.dubshow wrote: ↑Tue Oct 02, 2018 11:26 amexactly.Barnes93cb wrote: ↑Tue Oct 02, 2018 11:11 am

Thats personally what I would buy. But if someone was looking at a 1200 Ducati, I would assume they would want the MT-10.dubshow wrote: ↑Tue Oct 02, 2018 11:45 amim a big fan of the mt-07Barnes93cb wrote: ↑Tue Oct 02, 2018 11:42 am

Coming from a cruiser background and having a shitty back. The FZ07 is a strong want. More upright, has the naked look, sounds great, amazing reviews, and sportier than a cruiser.
