~53,000 miles, more than a third of which were long road trips.
Issues:
Intake manifold replaced under warranty
Diverter valve replaced
AC compressor replaced out of warranty but 87.5% covered by VW and :dillerman:
Needed 3 AC refridgerant refills
These last 2 issues probably originated from getting hit by a large road gator at 75mph which exploded my front end and necessitated the replacement of many components.
Also,
Still on original water pump
Still on original battery
Still on original timing chain tensioner
Still on original brake pads and rotors
Everything still works as new.
If I were you I'd replace my PCV this year. This mileage was the magical number for my car where the PCV shit the bed and took out the RMS and valve cover gaskets.
Will consider and ask about it in the fall when it's due for it's next scheduled maintenance.

Maintenance done every 10k at :dillerman:

Notable repairs:
- Intake manifold under VW extended warranty
- Carbon cleaning scrape (done out of pocket for $140 while they replaces the intake manifold).
- Waterpump x2 (first one was a slow leak, replacement pump was flawless but :derp: dad took it in for maintenance and they insisted on doing the "recall")
- A laundry list of wear & tear issues covered under my extended warranty including control arms, bushings, brake pads, etc

I drive the car a lot and I drive it hard. I haven't had any issues with any CEL/etc whatsoever, never been stranded, etc.

I have an issue currently where if I park backwards on a downhill slope, there is an audible rattle/grind coming from the engine bay on start-up. That issue is getting resolved on Monday morning. Advisor and head tech thinks it might be either a loose fan, faulty starter, or the flywheel.

Although mine has 55k, the total runtime is around 75-100k
You have a 5 year lease or something insane on this thing, right?
4 years. I have 1 more year. Might buy the car for cheap after doe

None. I should probably have that done.
160k and no carbon problems is :mindblown:

Mine needed one at 50k.

Might cost a bit at :dillerman: but it's pretty easy to DIY. The part is kind of expensive.

The difference being that you got the Oktoberfest Lemon built by drunken immigrants, and Ron, per the usual, gets VW's that are hand built by the direct descendants of German line workers that prepped Erich Hartmann's Bf-109E for battle on the Eastern front every day.

I think so but only if it ruptures. But the RMS and VC gaskets would be covered too so in your case :aintcare:

My 2011 GTI that I traded in a few months ago had 58k on it. Bought it new in December 2010.

2011 GTI 6MT
7k - Stage 1 tune
2k - Stage 2 tune, original water pump fails
30k - Replacement water pump fails
36k - Third water pump replaced under the recall. Radiator end tank cracked. Service advisor believes it was due to the several water pump replacements.
40k - Misfires. Spark plug and coil pack replacement
50k - Misfires again. Stuck fuel injector due to carbon. Carbon clean done
55k - 3 oil leaks discovered. Cam girdle, timing case, oil pan resealed. Tensioner replaced.
58k - Traded for GoRf.

There's more. That's just what I remember right now. At least I didn't have any sunroof problems!

I ditched all of my records, but from memory this is what all I dealt with over my 6.5 years & 50k -

-Seal on the trans case was leaking after just a couple months, found while getting the wastegate clipped installed.
-Subframe clunking the passat collars couldn't fix, so had to get the Tyrolsport kit (at my own cost, of course).
-Pressure plate failure, clutch replaced under warranty after a long battle with VW.
-Tensioner rattle. Had it replaced at an indy shop and they told me it was about to go.
-No-start condition the dealer battled for 2 months. First started with steering system errors (dealer replaced steering rack - warrantied, but was past 5 years and could/should have cost $1,800.) Next they replaced the starter, and finally came back to the battery, which fixed it. Supposedly no low voltage readings anywhere and the battery tested fine, but low voltage to steering system caused a critical error of some sort and caused the car to not start.
-1 HID headlight bulb.
-Burned out LEDs in the 3 brake light.
-Cold start issues that required carbon cleaning at 50k.
-Rattles. So. Many. Rattles. :triggered: Bought the car in early October and in the cold of late November it had so many rattles I was ready to get rid of it after 6 or 7 weeks. :amazing: I made it 6.5 years.

Everything from the tensioner rattle on down I encountered over the last 18 months. That thing was going take all my monies out of warranty. Plus, all of that without even dealing with the common water pump, injector, intake manifold, or HPFP issues. Fuck that car. :rage:

From what i recall it was a dealer fuckup from the recent previous service. Although this issue began shortly after he updated to 2.4
