I'm serious, just swap them front to back. Takes 15 minutes and costs no money and you can change it back if you still hate it...

I will do a test fit this weekend to see if the rears fit the frontz.

I said anything except the viper. BUT YES....

driving fat tires in the rain is scary. Buy all seasons? No, what's the point if a summer tire will hand an all season its ass even if the all season is Xmm wider?
A 315 isn't fat on a 4500 lb behemoth. That's like a 210 on a regular 3000 lb car. A stock FRS has less hydroplaning resistance than a Hellcat on 315s.
You're absolutely right. Cars are too fat today, folks! A HUGE problem! We're going to fix that! And we won't be paying for it!

I think your key is to get a set of PSS tires on the stock wheels, the Bridgestones aren't that great.
They were fine for my drifting my Miata everywhere, but when I got the DW's it was night and day.

Does PSS come in Runfrat?

Total is 1k for 4 + shipping and mounting from tirecrack. That's $1200... :yikes: or $100 a month. I think i'll just ride this thing out. And if I was going to stick to the same car later, that would be the first thing I'd do.

PSS PS-2
Those are :waxer:

You could also sell the wheels and tires when you're done, or better yet, if you're only keeping the car another 12 months, just get some Rival-S or Re-71R for the front. Swap tires before you turn it back in.

The wheels are cheap, maybe Discount tire direct has the tires for cheaper.

It does. It's "ZP" in Michelin-speak... but that won't solve your problem anyway. The front/rear swap is your answer.

I'm bored.

Seriously doe, go buy a square set-up.
I don't disagree that the smaller fronts hinder the performance of your car.
:(
Mang that was the whole point I was trying to make and that it seems like it is an industry problem... not just isolated to one brand or one type of car.

I :plac: a lot... so I'm going to try and be somewhat reasonable and not :troywax: on modz. I'll have a new car in 52 weeks or less

ok, but if you keep the ones you have now you get credit on tradein.

also, i like my z4. I like that it moves around a bit (at somewhat) sane speeds.

The older i get, the LESS grip and raw speed I want for a 'sports' car. there is no sport on public roads if you run hoosiers and have 600 hp on tap. The sport part, for me, is to do more with less. So i partially agree with :mahtroy: however i'm not as extreme and not a killjoy. And I'll pay my supplemental road taxes occasionally to have some fun the rest of the time.

Fully agree with OP. On my saturn the stock size is 245. I can break traction, I can't believe they didn't at least throw 315s on the rear and 285s on the front.
