Depends on your tolerance and willingness to light money on fire. The ballz seasons keep corner speeds kinda sorta reasonable-ish and are cheap enough that there is no reason not to light them up at will.
Talking about AutoX primarily, but I never knew a cop to give a ticket for pulling too many G's in the corner.
The DW's were damn good on the road too, but when the car is pushed, having a square set-up to dial out the understeer, and grippy tires to be able to accelerate through the turns and WOT upon exit is just
Yeah for autox in a big car like a you need big sticky tarz for it to be any fun.
The problem with that on the street is that you end up having to do triple digits even around corners to get into the fun zone. On the twisties closest to my house, I can pretty much set the cruise control at 65 in a 55 and drive around the tightest corners without touching any pedals using even michelin PSS... it's a snoozefest unless you go way too fast. The ballz seasons, on the other hand, require some effort to keep it at 55.
With low 400 whp and 410 gears, I'm going to need some damn tahr out back, and it would be to be able to rotate them.
And since this is primarily a street car, I don't want it to look stupid. 17's all around are kind of

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.

And it's a thread

Talking about tire size for the weight. Very pertinent.

False.
Also, what I consider 'fun' is not the same as what you do. I find the joys in simply driving my car, and while I do enjoy driving it hard, I enjoy just cruising around in it too, because driving is a fun activity for me. Also, taking a turn @ triple digit speeds is something I've never done.

Though, I have taken some marked 45 cloverleafs around 80.

Why post in it ? if you think it's dumb
I'm bored.
Seriously doe, go buy a square set-up.
I don't disagree that the smaller fronts hinder the performance of your car.
Mang that was the whole point I was trying to make and that it seems like it is an industry problem... not just isolated to one brand or one type of car.
I a lot... so I'm going to try and be somewhat reasonable and not on modz. I'll have a new car in 52 weeks or less

I take that back, this thread does deliver on tire discussion which is relevant.
Will this thread become the "Tire thread of DFD"
It has potential doe.
Let's just make it that. It's my goal.

It's not a "problem", it's basically mandated by CAFE.

Get some wheels on the cheap.
As others have suggested, a rear set and throw them on the front. Probably can be done for $300 a piece.
Driving a lame car suck. Go after the dream Max.

I'll go ahead and start the oil thread.
Can that include a catch can discussion or should that be a separate thread?

When you can leave a black mark from the exit of one corner to the entrance of another, you have enough horsepower.

Don't spend any money... just swap your wheels front to back. Maybe spend $25 on a pair of thin spacers for the back. Problem solved.
